Death Stranding

OK, just finished Prologue and will end it there tonight.

I'm already leaning over the fence towards the positive side, I'm liking what it offered so far.

So far all I know is that you're a well know Fedex deliver guy :bleh: and trekking through another planets terrain?? is dangerous.

Don’t let the first mission discourage you. It’s one of the hardest in the game and designed for you to learn they are serious about traversal in the world. The game is about finding the best way from A to B. But, at the same time, it’s way more than just that.

Also, once you get past it. The massive cutscenes subside.

This game is worth a replay but will wait for the director's cut to come to PC

No sarcasm in that last post. I like it so far, even though it’s just 15 minutes in. :)

also don't get pissed at the menus and take your time with them. if you use a controller, which I absolutely recommend, the UI makes use of those buttons in ways you can't imagine

I'm not liking how you can't save progress in the systems menu unless you press TAB >then Systems menu. Pressing ESC then Ssystem menu doesn't give the option.

You are using a KB/Mouse? The game was designed for controllers....

There's lots of times you need to be quite precise with the analog sticks to keep balance and vary walk/run speed.

You must have fallen on your ass often lol.

Not really. Didn’t fall all that much. Maybe a couple of times initially in the first 2-3 hours. But after that it was a breeze.

So rain damages cargo and seeking shelter is a way to alleviate that issue. Where do I find shelter out in the fields? Can't seem to spot any caves.

You can buy repair spray cans early on, and end up building your own shelters/repair stations as you progress

Other than outposts there aren’t many places to seek shelter. Even if you find one, you still have to travel the rest of the way. Best to keep a few repair spray cans handy. Plus, most of the time you get rain early in the game means BTs are probably happening too. So you will have to move slowly to avoid setting off a BT fiasco.

Righto....

I just linked up the Wind farm and done some side quest deliveries. I now have access to the bike. Managed to run out of juice up on the hills so I built a generator right next to it. I assume that is the only way to get it back?

The menus/control options are a bit overwhelming. I feel like I'll get to 90% game completion before I end up feeling comfortable that.

I'm enjoying the game, will definitely complete it.

Yep, generators are like gas stations. You'll learn to place them in the right spots to keep truckin' on. Or if you can make use of online player placed generators once you link the nearby prepper or facility locations and add them on the chiral network.

And for sure heed the advice about repair spray cans. Always keep some on you when making deliveries through rainy/BT invested areas.
