I jacked trucks, cars, resources and everything from online play. And in return anyone who played on same server as me enjoyed roads that were complete, zip lines that made sense and tools to hit BTs in the nuts or the human type idiots (forgot their names) in the cock.

So yeah play online like the game is meant to be played.

Anyway, online mode is set by default? I’m using other peoples ladders, ropes, post boxes and picking up their cargo and sending likes to their stuff so will assume that’s online.

I haven’t built or seen any roads yet, only bridges.

Will spend some time on this before I head out to work today.

Exactly. I guess to play off line would be sort of an Hard Mode. But, it's so much better online.
 
From what I remember you can play online and witness and use everything other players build, or play online without having your game filled with constructions, which is what I did simply because I wanted to be the one paving the way. Having roads built by others would have taken away a good part of the enjoyment for me.

Even online though I don't think the game will ever show roads 100% built for you. You'll have to at least partially finish them yourself.

I was fine with this, because some roads later in the game can take quite a while to get the resources to build. I was more than happy to see other players start the work for me once I added those areas to the network.

I will say though, completing a stretch of road was immensely satisfying. Only thing more so in this game was when I completed a zip line network that could traverse the whole central region within minutes. Awesome.
 
How long before I start building roads? I just encountered my first boss fight after linking up the port.

You wont be able to build roads until you reach the central region. I think its chapter 3 of the story.

You can't just put roads anywhere you want though. There are things called auto pavers in certain areas that you add certain resources to them and then they auto-magically 3D print the roads when they have the required amount. Its super cool.

It's the best! I got the mrs dropping food/coffees and other drinks at my door. Got the doors shut, kids locked out.

You must have been a casual contact to a COVID case. I was marked as close contact. My results just came through as negative but need to stay isolated for another 8 days regardless :(

I’d rather be at work making the real cash. :cry:


BTW, I have access to fast travel which is a relief. My trike went to ****, how do I spawn another?

Hop on the boat from there and the game actually begins. Before the port is just the tutorial level.

If you are into the main part of the game you can go to the outpost and build another. If you still are in the tutorial section you can't.

Yerp, I'm out of that now.


Got me hands on the Power Skeleton and the ebola gun. Still haven't found schematics for the Trike so I have been on foot this whole time since I borked the last Trike.

I'm now hijacking Mules for their trucks and built four pieces of highway so far. Really enjoying this more now.
