Welcome. Folding can prove to be addicting.
Depends on the box & WU. Its about 10min/frame on my Q9450 @ 3.2GHz (using two cores) w/ the current WU (probably a p2605).changed over to the smp client (using vmware with linux) but it's annoying to have to start/quit vmware all the time when i want to play a game but i'm curious, how long does it normally take to complete a % in the linux client?
Are you using MDC's VM?I seem to be doing just a bit under 30min/frame on my x2 4800, at 94% on my first smp unit so hopefully there won't be any problems when it submits..in updating the client to this version I ended up needing to disable the auto-ran version, fix the permissions of the files (extracted as root and tried to run from r3d user, oops ) so now i login manually to it and run ./fah6 -smp manually..though i'm not sure how to actually quit it properly, I just go to a different window (ctrl+windows key+f2) log in, then shutdown that way, making fah get killed in the process

Ahh, never even noticed this thread, checking in Hope that the gpu2 client supports 4800 series, I plan on upgrading as soon as the difference between 4850 and 4870 is clear.
The single 4870 beats the GX2 according to preliminary 3DMark06 benchmarks.
Does doing continuous F@H really shorten your CPU's lifespan even if the CPU is kept very cool? lolz.
Folding has been running 24/7 for almost 4 years on my current system and it's still going strong.
