This place is so dead

It's the new generation of young people. They are not drawn to forums anymore. Forums were the hot new thing when we started in the 2000s. Nowadays there are other types of platforms that are more popular.

These type of forums have cooled off. People tends to gravitate to other social media or giant super forums like Reddit. But keeping places like this, and other forums, going is kinda of important imo.

People have always been stupid on Twitter and Facebook. That was one of the best thing about this place is that stupid didn’t usually last long. Enjoy your Facebook and Twitter!

I don't do either of those or Discord. I gravitated to more active forums where many members still participate on a daily basis. They learned to adapt and not wait year after year for modern updates and better member options. The P&R subforum was the most active until things really slowed down so really no point in sticking around anymore. This is used be my favorite forum for all things AMD and other pc tech.

Hey dudes, holy shit the site was actually upgraded, I don't have to dig out the skeleton_waiting.gif!

Long time no see! How are you doing, John?!

I'm doing well thanks, less time for gaming these days unfortunately, less free time now but I still put in 10 hours per week.

How are you doing, good to see you are still around here :)

I’m glad to hear it.

I am doing well also. I am also active over on the Rage3D Discord server, along with a bunch of other longtime members. If you are interested in checking it out, see here for more information.

Good to hear man, I'll definitely check that out, will be good to have a chat with you all, it has been some time!

Dang, son... the return of Rage3D.com! This site is kinda embedded in my brain now. I'll randomly type in Rage3D.com without even thinking about it. So, I, for one, am happy that it's sticking around.

Yeah I use discord but it's not a replacement for me. Discord is a chat system and that comes with pros and cons, including lots and lots of gifs and spam

I'll keep using the forums but I think it seems to get less and less popular every week.

Yeah, I like having both. Plus this was one of the first forums I joined.

It's sort of weird the way they "die." (Also game-servers)

This was probably the tenth forum I joined. The other nine all died long ago. Used to get so many vBulletin birthday emails...

Yeah I joined so many vbulletin forums back in the 2000s especially: nvnews, rage3d, tribalwar, tribes2maps, teamxbox, halflife2.net, guild wars guru, and a bunch of other smaller ones

Looks like tribalwar is still active but those guys are nuts

Sad how most are dead and gone  Wish you could go back in time
