It’s mostly because the new mods sucked the life out of this forum. You can no longer have fun without someone throwing a fit. So people who wanted to have fun left.
Now it’s just me talking to myself about whether a game is trash or dope.
I stopped posting once folks moved to Discord. It’s good for a real-time chat board but not a good replacement for this site.
The mods have let people have plenty of fun. In fact, this is one of the more lightly-moderated communities on the Web. We just cracked down on homophobic content, which isn’t acceptable in the modern age.
Good to see you, Munkus! We are actually experimenting with threaded conversations in a couple of channels, so now might be the time to give it another shot!
Or...
Less focus could be placed on Discord and more on this place since here is the only reason the Discord exists.
This site is now laggy and painful to post to.
This is worse than new Coke.
We need to go back to classic rage
this
The trend of discord replacing forums sucks, so much info that was normally available for everyone is suddenly hidden by a bunch of invite only discords.
There is no going back to the actual old system. Once we get the DB issues sorted, I hope we can then focus down on things like themes, features and refinement.
Forums like this are invaluable as resources and so if Rage3D ever actually went away... imho it would be a pretty big loss of information.
If this forum goes away, it will be a lot of time I will get back to dick around on another forum…

I'm still here. I just don't get to game anymore. Although unless there's a GTA6 or RDR3, I don't see myself gaming ever again. None of the games are fun since I'm an old fart now.
I dont think its a "change is bad" type deal, its just...the changes hasnt really made anything better, maybe a bit worse.. The reply window which used to open a new window/page...is now where the quick reply response is......getting to the last page of a thread requires you to push the tiny arrow buttons BEFORE you enter the thread (otherwise you'd have to manually enter the page number at the top...as the option to change pages isnt even at the bottom of the current page. Heck if any of this UI stuff was resolved already...i'd like to know cuz i dont know how to get back to the old familar ways of doing stuff. There might have been an exodus or even just lesser participation from some folks.
Getting to the 'first unread post' of a thread is what broke the site for me. I still don't know how to do it.
