I am still super wary of burn-in on OLED. It happened to me with a plasma TV I bought some years ago from playing the same game, with elements in the exact same places, plus some elements of the task bar burned in. It wasn't really bad, and couldn't really be seen except on a full white screen, but it still happened and it was only used for limited periods on the desktop.
I feel like using a burn-in capable display for standard Windows use would be an absolute disaster. So unless the display is for gaming only, and like literally no other static screen usage, I wouldn't trust it.
Personally, I'd be willing to accept a lot of other compromises to avoid having to worry about burn-in again. Also even if they're not as good as OLED, VA panels are already pretty good at contrast. Biggest issue is some slow transitions in the darker range, but really that's not a problem most of the time.
