Too much blue is my guess right now. If it was PWM, how would I test it? I don't often use HDR and don't see any flickering.
 
Some on reddit have suggested sRGB mode, I had it set to Dcip3. I just put the Alienware back in the box for now. If I played flight Sims or racing games I don't think it would matter. But FPS and desktop are killing my eyes. Went back to the 240hz IPS and felt so refreshed after a gaming session. I'm going to just forget about it for a while until I've cooled down a little.
 
I didn't know that a flicker I couldn't see, could cause so much discomfort. That's what I think it is now, Ocular migraines stole whole days from me. I'm just glad I figured it out.
 
Finally ASUS unveils a 32 inch 4K 240 Hz OLED. Of course will come with ASUS tax so will wait for LG version.
