Are we staying on vBulletin or is there a wholesale move to something else, like Zimbra, Lithium or something completely different thats going on?

Still vBulletin for the forums, Wordpress for the CMS. We're just trying to make easy things hard, and it takes time to do that proper like. :sherlock:

Cool. I was using Wordpress till about a year and a half/two years ago. It does things, and stuff :D

Are you expecting more traffic/activity on the front page? Any new thangs?

Gotta make this place a bit more happening with the new AMD and Nvidia stuff expected next year :D

Branching off into mobile tech as well? Would be awesome sauce.

And are you planning on more curation from other sources to augment your original content?
 
I think the site needs an area which accommodates the fact that a subset of its users are getting old and don't want rules. Acrimony, profanity and ludity should be the business of the day.

Abolish the rep system as it stops people from being themselves, and voicing their opinion, or allow users to deactivate it against their own profiles.

Keep a light theme, no dark colours. Get rid of smileys, or make them toggleable. Disable or remove the majority of the buttons on the WYSIWYG editor, remove extraneous boxes, make the interface clean.

Also think you should have an image upload facility.

Yeah and they should also remove the ability to communicate over the internet. Site opens locally on each person's computer so that these old guys can say whatever the heck they like without impacting anyone... :bleh:
