I'd call it a very good game, and quite underrated (most people who haven't played it think its just another open world). It was a bit above average for that style of game and just real fun to play.
Honestly for me I think it was just the Mad Max setting being so awesome, and the fact the devs executed the design pretty well. High quality PC port to boot.
yes, it definitely captures the Mad max feel. IF you arent a fan, then maybe this one isnt for you. I like the gritty, dirty, used up post dead planet feel. I think it nails it.
If you find the game repetitive just do the main missions.
I don't think these kinds of open world games are designed with the intention for the average player to complete everything 100%. They just want to fill the world with lots of stuff to discover along the way. But to be a completionist in these kinds of games is kind of dull and a waste of time IMO.
Yup, the car combat is what got me interested and sold me on the game, No other game does this like Mad Max. I'd love to see a sequel with new features.
Finally beat it. Definitively had a lot of annoying parts. Was fun though it could have been better if it was a tighter story with out the Ubi collecting.
So I am playing this again and it is still fun. I think I have about 17+ hours in it and just hit Gas Town. I tried to lower Jeet's territory to 0 but seems I am still not done after completing the tasks.
I think I need to get the dog out to get it to 0 to unlock Level 6 harpoon.
Other than that, solid game. I don't know if I will continue lowering threat level in other territories. It is a lot of work .
May just finish the Mains and some sides and move on.
Spent about 26 hours on this and finished all story and wasteland missions. The last 4-5 missions after the gas town race were fantastic. I absolutely loved this game and think that everyone should play it. 9/10 from me. First game world that kept me interested long enough to really try and finish all missions.
Yeah, this game was damn awesome. I'm not too into open world games but I think it was the setting in this one being done so well to recreate the atmosphere of the movies just kept me engaged the whole time. That, and the fighting and car chases were awesome fun.
I absolutely loved Mad Max, but I'm no expert on video game vehicle physics. They felt pretty decent to me, but the vehicle combat and upgrades are what steals the show.
Rage has better gun play but Mad Max has way better driving and Batman like hand to hand combat. Both were pretty good to me but I would take Mad Max over Rage 2 if I had to choose one.
