I just noticed something; for the first time in years, the "GUIDE PLUS+(TM) System Update Wizard - ATI" link is working. This should be under Start > Programs > GUIDE PLUS+(TM). It downloaded either a patch or a newer version, but it says I have to reboot and I can't do that right now.
For the past few years trying that resulted in "error downloading patch". I'm now wondering if I didn't trash what little functionality I had left by it maybe installing that really bad version of CMC or maybe Titan.I'll know soon.
Disregard, that won't work...........Anyone that has got it working, is in the USA and happens to be on Cox cable, can you please post your zip code? Maybe that will work for me. I tried several local zip codes here and all have the same problem. (Baton Rouge, LA).
Ok thanks.Hi Clint,
Your reg values look like mine, except:
URL = http://www.gemstarguide.com/gdndl/gdnget.asp
That URL is "more interesting" now. Previously it immediately or almost immediately showed the typical "The page cannot be displayed", but today it's taking a long time and acting as though there is "some data" of some kind at it. Same thing with http://www.gemstarguide.com and http://152.101.67.132/ (to which it resolves).I know that seems to be a dead domain. But that's my URL setting.
Yeah I tried that before I posted, didn't help.Also, it might be worth doing a full channel scan again in MMC. Might as well try it.
