thats a joke right? there are hundreds of things made just for women. so why is it a problem if the dev says they are making it just for men? how is that misogynistic? something being just for men, doesnt mean they hate women...

I think it goes a good deal beyond misogynistic. I don’t believe that’s a dev I want to support.

Yeah it’s certainly possible. The way things are today, I think the truth will eventually leak out somewhere.
I’m not really invested in it anyway, mostly because it just doesn’t look like a game I would enjoy so I’m not buying regardless.

I think it’s turd like. That gameplay and weaponry just looks sad af. Hitting big ass monsters with an underpowered stick that sounds like someone knocking on the door irrespective of the monster really feels crap.
Maybe they have better weapons later but it seems it is also unclear when you do or don’t get hit. Seems sometimes you will roll and monster won’t hit but other times it will without clarity on why?
Anyways, not for me. Waste of time and a good engine.

Not saying that it's okay to be misogynistic, but on the topic of making games... it might be politically incorrect to say out loud, but lots of games are made almost exclusively for men. What % of players who completed Doom Eternal are women? 1%, if we're being generous? I'm sure some exist somewhere, and more power to them... but if we're being honest, that game was made for men.

It's one thing to say a product is geared towards a male demographic. That's fine. But it's another thing for the developer to come out and basically say females shouldn't play it.
Not only is it misogynistic, but its ****ing stupid from a business perspective. Why should they care who buys and plays their game, so long as they are paying for it? Just a dumb thing to come out and say publicly.
Yes, his statements do seem a few decades out of touch.
