I still have it? I noticed that a recent update removed some of my shortcut tiles. But the app still works and it does turn by turn nav through Cortana. Double check your apps list.

Mine just wasn't working. It gives me a 'we no longer support the platform blah blah, please use MS maps with HERE tech" message when I ran the app and then I couldn't do anything with it.
I ended up uninstalling cuz it isn't supported anymore.

I'm on Win10m btw.

Oh and ever since the anniversary update hit my notifications seem to be unreliable......and my lock screen keeps defaulting to a generic phone pic every so often (I'm using an app called awesome lock for my lock screen..which was working fine until the anniversary update)

rolled it back to 8.1 and drive here+ is back and my bluetooth headphones stopped glitching out

lost all the album covers again I will try to erase the sd card and reload 75gb of music and see if they come back

I still will be getting a iPhone 7 plus 256gb or a note 7

Gah, sorry you're having all these troubles :(

Hope your next device fixes things.

And you can get Here on both Android and iOS so that's good news :)

Did you try out the Microsoft Maps for WP10 before you punted? Curious if it is a good as the Here+ was.

I've used Here+ when I had Lumia 920, but I'm a long user of iphone 6, so I used Here we go app. It was much improved than it used to be. Very usable.

If you ever used MS maps before (there was a time both HERE and MS maps (powered by bing)) was available at the same time.
Its pretty much that except its powered by HERE instead of bing.

drive here+ was about the best one on windows 8.1 but Garmin StreetPilot Onboard and magellan roadmate for ios has a lot more map updates or did when I used them last

I will look at here we go for ios

I've been recently used Herewego app on iOS (HERE+ was renamed to this). It was pretty good and find it much improved than what I had it on my old Lumia 920.

How stable has Windows 10 mobile become lately? I heard it was pretty buggy at launch. Despite the platform dying, I am pretty sure my next phone will still be a Windows Phone. I am very used to the platform and it would be hard for me to give it up. Just wondering if they are ironing out the kinks in the new OS or not.

You current and ex-Windows phone users may appreciate this story:

My teenage daughter's iPhone has given her nothing but grief over the last year. I told her tough, deal with it and she has been a trooper. Well the IOS 10 update put her over the edge because now it is slower and her battery barely lasts 3 hours. We tried disabling everything we could but nothing worked. So I finally decided to get her a replacement. I suggest she try Android because she is super-frustrated with Apple. But, she stubbornly insisted that she hates Android and would never use it. She couldn't give me any reasonable argument why but when a teenager makes up their mind there isn't much you can do. So, I told her that her only other choice is Windows. I spent hours trying to tell her she won't like the lack of Apps. But, she swears she doesn't care about it. So, I decide to go into the Microsoft store and buy her a Lumina 550. I go into the store and they were very helpful. The 550 is on sale for $99 and they give her another 5% off as a student discount so, we are out the door with a brand new phone for $100 and change. I figure if she hates it I ain't out much money.

Now the phone itself really impressed me for $95. After we plopped an $11 case on it was pretty solid and worked great. Without the case it looked like it could break pretty easy. The Windows update stuff took a few hours but worked great. Now she has a phone that has a camera that isn't too bad and actually works. (Her iPhone camera worked for a while and then broke and was fixed and then died again). The battery life on this little phone is pretty good. She actually had fun setting up her tiles. She was really loving the phone. That lasted until she went to school. The high schoolers were merciless in berating her inferior device. They immediately professed their love for so many apps that she no longer had access to. (I doubt they ever really use them). She felt like a social outcast. It took her a while to recover. But, I think she is now back into loving the phone. I like it because she can't really get into some of the social apps that most teenagers do any more and she is good with that too. Moral of the story is it is sad Windows Phone is dying, they do make a nice little budget device, and my daughter is a rebel and I love her

Ebay killed off their 8.1 app recently, no officlal plans for a UWP one :(
I've got a moto g4 plus on the way, and the mother is getting my lumia 640 to replace her nokia 7.8 based phone so major upgrade for her :P

It suits those with very limited app needs, but for everyone else its PITA if they can't get them. My works new cheaper choice of helpdesk doesn't have an app for it and it isnt on their roadmap either. Its a real shame because the actual OS is solid and the tile screen is better than what Google puts out IMHO. I think even MS own android equivalent to apps are better than whats on their own phones...

The Lumia 950 was my first Windows Mobile/Phone device ever, previously been using everything from Android and iOS to Meego and BlackBerry 10, and I'm sold. It has its quirks and bugs, but all in all, it's more like a better Android. Not only do UWP apps look great, many of them also support Continuum, which is really awesome. I use it almost every day. I'm really looking forward to movable, resizable and overlapping windows. It'll really be more and more like a real desktop computer, but in your (my) pocket.

It'll be interesting to see how long time it takes for Google to bake Chrome OS into Android and make a Continuum like experience. I'm also looking forward to the Nintendo Switch which is quite similar to Continuum. :)

I have to admit that I miss my WP devices, I far prefer the tile system to the icons iOS and Android both use. I also like the fact that there is a night mode built into the OS rather than putz around and have to deal with iOS's eye-seering brightness.

If I had more faith that WP would be around longer, when it comes time for an upgrade I'd drop the boners on a new WP phone.

iOS has Night Shift.
