The Elder Scrolls Online announced!

They add controller support to this yet? I refuse to play it again until it's implemented.

I thought it's supposed to be free all the time. Pay extra if you want more XP.

Still no word on controller support.

Crap...I was going to hook up my XBox 360 controller as I HATE using the WASD keyboard for movement in any game. I guess FPS games spoiled me that way.

Controller support is in, it's in beta stage so you have to activate it through in-game options. Once you're actually in the game, not the main menu or launcher settings. It works pretty well actually once you get used to it.

I got back into eso recently, I was waiting for controller support too. I think it's really good although I'm very much a casual mmo player so it might not suit everyone.
The world is really nice, I like that I can just wander around at my own pace exploring and doing the quests etc.

Awesome...thanks!

Ah cool, sounds like it's time to get back to ESO. Hopefully they didn't delete my character after being in active for so long.

Free weekend in affect now through Monday, 10 a.m. Pacific time for PC/Mac users. XBOX in the works for later.

Still no controller support, though. That rules me out.

I thought there was controller support added for a while now.

And I thought it was already free for some time now?

Did we go back in time or something?

You still have to buy the game in order to play it.
No subscription required.

There's been controller support for ages. Games great if you're after a traditional style old school mmo. It's just a bit too traditional for me and didn't hold my attention. I played dark age of camelot and then wow for years so i'm totally burned out on the formula. It's a shame this game didn't do better, it deserved to, I really wanted to like it. I think the genre/formula is just kind of finished and everyone has moved on.

oh man, Dark Age of Camelot....... that's been a while.... one of our first mmo's. Played it (and all add-ons) for years

Tried to get into it but it kind of ruins the immersion when you have 8 online players killing one (insert enemy here) standing there to level up when it only takes a couple sword swipes yourself.

picked this up last weekend.

seems more like a rpg with some mmo aspects. I've seen no need to group(only lvl 6 however) and there's hardly no chat and no AH.
Maybe it's more of a endgame game? Still pretty decent and performance wise, game play, and graphically really shows how dated WOW is
I'm playing 4K, graphics maxed, and with vsync enabled I'm pretty much 60fps.

Has anyone played the Morrowind expansion?

If so how is it as a single player/solo experience? Or does it still have that MMO astigmatism that ruins any expectation of playing this as a solo Elder Scrolls game?
