The Elder Scrolls Online announced!

Think I'll drop the sub until it becomes f2p. I used my free 30 days, stayed away for a month, and then subbed again. Probably going to give Reborn another try.

Started playing this again, the game is awesome, mainly playing to get into those veteran ranks conent stuff.

I actually really enjoyed this, probably the best mmo I've played. The problem is I think I'm just bored of mmo's which led to me cancelling my sub. It wasn't really eso's fault, I thought they did a good job on it.

I'm sure I'll be reinstalling when they drop the sub, I just hope the fact that I purchased full price etc entitles me to unrestricted play of the game though. If everything's suddenly going to be behind content paywalls then I won't bother. Item shop is fine.

Haha, just as I thought, less than 1 year it would go Buy to Play. Now I will actually buy the game on a Steam sale when they drop the subscription.

You can get it for 10 bucks right now and it will never be as cheap on Steam.

Actually I had forgot that I did a bet with a co-worker last year before the game got released. I told him that with in 1 year they will annouce free to play or Buy to play, and he said not a chance. If I won, he would buy me the game, if he won, I would owe him 2 steak dinners. So yesterday he emailed me a code for the game  :D

I knew as soon as this was bumped that its subscription free

paying monthly fee's to play a game? what are we, junkies? :bleh:

The upgrade is free for anyone taking up the offer during the first year from release day, not a 1 year subscription.

The exact phrasing makes it sound like you get the first year free, then you have to pay for it after wards, not you get the entire thing for free if you upgrade in the first year.

No Windows 10 is 100% free for life, what they might do is go with their original plan they had for Windows 8, and charge for major revisions. Like if they release Windows 10.1 they might charge $20 for it. It's what they wanted for Windows 8 before it went tits up.

yeah the phrasing was a cause of confusion, but it has been officially confirmed that it won't be subscription based.
