That daily game progress thread...

And finally hit point of no return in FF7 Rebirth after over 70 hours. Still level 48. I am wondering if I should go back and do some of the sides and also complete the only region left which has like 7 intel pieces left including my last protorelic. I really went all in this game. At the end of the day it goes to show that if combat is really good then you can have a great time even if the other parts of the game are not as refined. Something Ass Creed did well in Origins and Odyssey but somehow lost its way in Valhalla.

Similarly, Horizon games also share the similarity in that the combat is super satisfying which holds the game up for hours on end with continuous enhancements to the formula, ability to try different things, and great characters. You forget that you are running around just doing similar activities over and over because everytime a conflict arises, game feels fresh.

Finished FF7 Rebirth after 85 hours. Dope af / 10.

Now trying my hand at Crisis Core FF7 on PS5. Downloading Quarry on XSX. Also continue to play COD MW3 MP on this spanking OLED. Forbidden West also here and there.
Also got some 20 games downloaded on PC on GP but none of them really interest me at this time.

Any better ideas for games on this weekend? This start of the year has been lackluster to say the least.

Shootbanged myself through the boltgun campaign.

Boltgun is an ok painkiller-like shooter, it kind of feels like its biggest flaw is that they cranked the dial up to 11 from the start, there is no sense of escalation since every level has hordes of enemies.

I give it a weak 7/10, it was fun to gib hundreds of enemies per map, but it also got a bit old.

finished Broken Roads, which is an indie character RPG type deal. Wasn't very good (lack of direction, shoddy quests, aimless walking, clunky combat, some bugs) but I wouldn't say it deserves 42% on steam either. Mostly guilty of not being able to pull it all together. 5-6/10

Made it to WT5 in Division 2. Teal do be dropping on the reg.

Gonna wiggle around in this tier for a bit to prepare for the expansion >:D

Also I kno #WhatYearisThis!

Finished Kena: Bridge of Spirits.

It felt like playing a very pretty PS2-title in terms of gameplay.

I don't know if there is some weird driver issue with this title though, some effects TANKED the framerate, the beam attack from the final boss when you block it is unfortunately one of them.

It was a neat cutesy title though, it's worth picking up on a sale.

Currently playing:

Daily:
Unreal 2: the Awakening
Age of Mythology: Extended Edition

Regularly:
MotoGP23
Assetto Corsa Competizione

Occasionally:
Company of Heroes 2
Rocket League

Planned:
Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor
Remember Me
Outcast: A New Beginning

So, this forum just won't die, thank fuck.

I finished Unreal 2, "finished" Helldivers 2, finished MotoGP23, and I'm currently playing Outcast: A New Beginning. @nutcrackr is right that it starts out a little dull, and gets better over time, peaking at the "solid 7/10 Eurojank" game it was always destined to be. I'm just glad it exists - twenty five years is a long wait for a sequel.

I hope to finish it either this month, or early next month, and move on to something else.
