Sad sad state of affairs for anyone hoping for Radeon greatness

So yeah....thats how I feel atm. AMD/ATI/RTG not giving me any reasons to hope for anything better on the horizon in the high end department. Nvidia seems to have the market definitely cornered. With Amd's abysmal finances, I dont see how they can continue to compete against Nvidia without a significant outside investment.

You don't think their Vega GPU is worth looking at? It looks to me like things are slowly improving for AMD.

Maybe this article will sooth your AMD soul ....

See this is the reason I think people shouldnt feel so much all the time. Less feeling, more objectivity.

"Less feeling" means fear of emotions of oneself.Fear of emotions makes you want "remove" them completly..Removing them completly = destroying oneself..Who says that objectivity comes from emotionless or less emotion is actually fearing the emotions himself and don't know how to deal with them.
I would suggest learning to integrate the emotions is critical for human beings and our civilization survival.

I think AMD saved themselves by cornering the console's and getting Mantle adapted into DX12 and Vulkan. It effectively undercut Nvidia's great advantage in drivers. Based purely on hardware, Fury should be on par with the 1070 and 980 Ti, you just don't see it in DX11. So, anyway, their hardware is pretty competent and now with the software side turning around the next couple of years should look a lot better for the red team.

If you want a Top End AMD card next week, you are out of luck. However, it has been a known fact for almost a year that Vega wasn't coming out until at least close to 2017. So any whining, and I have heard some recently on other forums, that AMD will never have a Top End card again is just nonsense.

Hmm I own my first Radeon since the X1800. That is 11yrs of only buying Nvidia based GPU's. They must be doing something rights as far as value and performance. I believe with the latest R400's series GPUs they are providing better performance per dollar than Nvidia. That is huge for consumer and revenue.

Their latest announcements in CPU architecture is very promising too. We might see this same economic of performance hit the CPU market (again).

I believe AMD is on the rise and the market appears to be agreeing.

Just off a review where the 1060 and RX 480 are matched and the RX 480 is superior in terms of DX12 and Vulkan, which is the future for a lower price.

So yeah, AMD is on track and decided to test their new foundry relationship with a mid range card
which I agree is a good thing.

Yeah I bet you FEEL that way :bleh:

It's pc hardware people, not a litter of puppies to get all emotional over.

I would understand a thread with solid news or SOME sort of foundation for discussion, pro-Nvidia or not. This one offers, feelings?

Or maybe just the same 'ol Nvidia has the high end, AMD is broke, no Vega until 2177 (when we figure out FTL travel and go there, duh), 1080 is over priced, 480 is over priced, 4gb isn't enough, I'm mega-hurt about my mhz not having enough mhz... and so on...

Sorry guys for the emo thread. I was posting after my third glass of wine. Also Im fet up with AMD's poor execution and delays. Damn it if they cant compete across all sectors in the gpu field, sell to someone who can. Im fet up with reduced R&D. Fet up with reduced driver staff and last but not least, Im fet up with AMD's loser rep.

God I miss ATI. Sure they had some lows like the R600 but so did Nvidia back then and it was always back and forth between the 2. ATi didnt have huge delays after delay and they didnt give Nvidia the whole fooken High end for months!! ATI was a graphics company and thats all they cared about. AMD is slowely killing the radeon brand that ATI worked so hard to maintain.

Ahh man...there I go again...getting all emotional.

True...but its more than that Bitterman. You know that. You have been here long enough to have witnessed it first hand many times. This site was first created as an ATI fanboy site and it is still here today.

Human beings are emotional. Its only normal that emotions cross over a wide range of topics....even pc hardware lol. People get banned over this **** LOL
