Going to do another play through of the original rdr I think?
Yeah, Gamestop is giving crazy trade-in values for the previous gen consoles. Hope you enjoy the Series X!
https://www.gamestop.com/trade/details/?pid=10134659how crazy? I have a PS4 Pro collecting dust at the moment that I could wipe and trade in.

Looks like up to $280 in store credit, which is what Dungeoncrawler got for his.
Digital Foundry's podcast this week, had some discussion about whether or not Sony or Microsoft could try to enter the handheld market. One point that really struck me, is that the Series S spec is far more likely to be within reach of a steamdeck-style portable device in the upcoming years.
Could it be that this is xbox's strategy... To have a lower-end sku that all games are compatible with, in preparation for an eventual portable? If so, it's pretty genius. It would be nearly impossible for Sony to follow suit, as every studio would have to release an updated lower-tier version of every game in order to make the compatible, whereas the Xbox ecosystem already has that support built in to their library.
In a statement to Windows Central, a Microsoft spokesperson confirmed that there are no plans to raise the price of the Xbox Series X or the Xbox Series S, reiterating that they will remain at their baseline RRPs in various currencies, including USD, GBP, and EUR.
“We are constantly evaluating our business to offer our fans great gaming options. Our Xbox Series S suggested retail price remains at $299 (£250, €300) the Xbox Series X is $499 (£450, €500).”
That’s a good move imo.
MS should have dropped the price (even for few months). Would have been funny.Sony didn't do the price hike in the States, 'cause that's where xbox is a strong competitor. MS won't do the price hike at all, 'cause the States is the only place that they're really competitive.
Sony knows they can get away with a price hike in other parts of the world, as there's really no direct competition.
Yeah, smart move on their part. Only possible drawback is it might put the console in the hard-to-find category once more?
I really miss the days when I could walk into any Best Buy and grab a console of my choosing.
I remember those days too. I have a ps5 and a series x. I was able to obtain both at suggested retail prices. ps5 was purchased at bestbuy while the series x was at gamestop. ironically i rarely play either these days.
343 Industries has shared its latest development roadmap, and it's not good news.
The biggest news is that the game's next season has been delayed to March 2023. That's an excruciatingly long time to wait. For context, Battlefield 2042, which released around the same time and also suffered delays, is also on Season 2, with the next Season planned for the end of this year.
The bad news doesn't end there, as split-screen local co-op has now been cancelled outright. "In order to improve and accelerate ongoing live service development, and to better address player feedback and quality of life updates, we have reallocated studio resources and are no longer working on local campaign split-screen co-op," 343 said in an accompany development video.
As for Season 3, expect to see new Arena and Big Team Battle maps, a new weapon, new game modes and of course a new Battle Pass.
