I GUESS WE DO ALL HAVE PHONES (Diablo Immortal)

it's also way too easy, the only time you really get in trouble is if you get cornered and are stuck between a ton of mobs but even then there are enough abilities to get you outta there. No penalty on dying, no durability loss, no loss at all as far as i can tell. Story is kinda interesting, combat feels very underwhelming. Most puzzles are more annoying than really hard to solve

Overall i'd give it a (VERY generous) 4/10 in its current state. The only saving grace is, that it's free to play.

I installed it on PC and its clear its an afterthought and they didnt have much time to bring it to the PC. It plays like the game is being emulated for PC(wouldnt be surprised if it actually were) No real resolution settings and the controls just dont translate as well. The superior version of the game is definitely the mobile/tablet version.

I think they are going to catch even more flak bringing it to the PC rather than having just left it as their mobile version. The hardcore min/max people are on PC and its clear that you have to pay up for crests to get that maximum build with gems. I think it would be better if they left this as a stop gap on the phone on the way to the true desktop successor D4.

With that said the game translates well to phones and it looks great as long as you bump up to 60fps. It really is diablo on the go and the nature of being able to drop in and drop out makes the game accessible on the go.

As long as you dont go into the game trying to get max like you would on a PC its a pretty enjoyable experience.

Ya its odd to see 4k GUI and low res graphics. I think its 1080p at most. Also wonder if investing in a character during open beta means you lose it when the game officially releases as happened with the beta for Diablo2 Resurrected.

No, its fully released on phone. They just call it open beta on PC because its so ****ing janky and they dont want people to complain about it. Chars will stay from this point on.

For free it's not bad, but trying to play solo is frustrating as it's a typical MMO of wandering into an area and all the mobs have been cleared by other players. Yeah, what fun...

i checked this out and its kind of bad. like, for what they did and how monetized it is, its kind of really bad. Half of it is reused diablo 3 assets, and the graphics are half good half trash. Even the controls on pc are trash. I cant even say its got good gameplay because its mostly just diablo 3 but slower. Which isnt bad, but its again reused.

Even the classes are 90% reused diablo 3 classes and skills.
Im not saying they didnt put any actual work in. There are some nice new bits, and westmarch has a mostly new look. So far though, 90% of the dungeons and enemies are ripped straight from diablo 3 though.

Releasing on PC was dumb, now you have people wondering why a mobile game plays like **** on a 27" monitor and looks like trash. it's a mobile game lol

I'll probably try it out eventually on my phone.

Damn son. Boned it for about 3 hours today. Level 29 and made some friends. Plays better on PC. Graphics look like crap but I don't care. At least I can see what is going on. Game like dope.

I finally understood how to use my PC profile on my cell. However, this game eats battery like a hooker eats dick.

It Costs $110,000 to Fully Gear-Up in Diablo Immortal
icpogpN.jpg

"A YouTuber calculates how much it costs to max out a character's Legendary Gems in Diablo Immortal, and the final number goes beyond six figures."

"As of right now, F2P players cannot earn top-rated Legendary Games, which are only available via some of the game's monetization options, and fully maxing-out a character effectively costs $110,000 in the game's current economy."(full article)

I think it might be possible. However, I am level 33 now and it is asking me to grind af all right now. So doing rifts and bounties. I did get my 1 legendary item.

I don't get why they don't allow you to change the resolution, the game would actually look ok if you could run it at higher resolutions than 1080p or whatever it is capped at.

Is it possible to finish the campaign without spending any money?

yes, of course. Spending money comes into play when you're max level and try to max out the gear. As a lot of people already pointed out, there is actually NO way to get better gear/gems without cashing, and if i say cashing then i mean HARDCORE cashing. it's completely ridiculous.

Why were people angry about him spending money on the game though? He's clearly mocking the monetization in that video.
