I love that the game has no HUD whatsoever, no tutorial, and no map. You just dive and figure it out as you go. The voices you hear are critical to guiding you. They assist in moving the story along and even help during battle. Just finished it and it was overall a great experience. Love that it was so different and immersive. Ran beautifully with max settings on my not-so-high-end rig either. Here are some last screenshots:
On the other hand, I was stuck dying over and over in the labyrinth where you're getting chased by fire and *knew* that if I did finally finish that level, I wouldn't have enough lives left to finish the game anyway, so I resigned to start the game over by letting her die repeatedly.
Since the fire came after you as soon as the level began, I didn't have to do anything to cause it. I left the game running, her dying every 45 seconds or so, fully expecting to come back 30 minutes later to a Game Over. It never happened.
The rot grows based on each event failed. Not each time you fail the same event.
It isn't a long game and it is linear. There is a bonus scene if you find all the markers. I missed a few early and didn't bother doubling back. The bonus scene is online if you don't want to bother with the time needed to find them all. If you like Viking folklore you may want to listen to the marker messages anyway. They tell a continuing story of Nordic gods that is really well told. As I reached the end I hunted them out just to hear more of the lore. Cool stuff.
Combat improves as you go. Gameplay nonsense is supposed to be based on her delusions and hallucinations. It is a little contrived of course. But, I do give them points for trying something totally different. Later some of the nonsense makes a little more sense. But, I wouldn't take it too seriously, just enjoy the moment...
I am so bored out of my mind playing this game. Just opened first gate after killing 2 idiots. Then moved on and again same puzzles and same combat and same runes off the beaten path. My w and shift key will break since I try to press them so hard to make the bitch move. Also such slow movement and so many artificial hidden walls is just making me want to break my keyboard.
How anyone can think this is AAA is bullshit. I give it a 4/10. Story even isn’t interesting. I am like bitch please your bethroed died just move on like 100% of Americans do

There is a run key if you need it. You can use it in battle too as it creates different combos against light, strong, and melee attacks. There are some decent attack combos to learn. The game doesn’t teach you any of them. You need to discover them or read about them online.
The game is very different pacing than most. I liked it because I am a little sick of most shooter and RPG formula games. They all seem too much the same to me these days. (getting too old). You are really going to hate some later levels because you need to deal with your sword breaking. You do get a cooler new one eventually but there are a lot more puzzle/run away levels in between.

So I finished this game and rate it a 4/10. It is quite possibly the worst game I played this year next to Everybody has gone to the rupture.
Story was so cliche and nonsensical. Bitch couldn’t get over her lovers death. Big deal. I liked the ending though for the fact that she didn’t get what she wanted lol.
Combat was absolutely the worst part of the game. I got fed up and put it on easy. It could have been great but combination of camera angle, bitch getting stuck and just sluggish controls ruined it for me.
Walking simulator. I hate it. I hate when they make walking even slower than it should have been. I hate also that the game kept on taking control away from me again and again and again. Camera moving just to show Senua face was retarded.
VO. Quite possibly the worst narrator on the planet. Every time he said Senua it was as if he was running out of breath (Druth). The whole Odin story could have been good if the guy was not trying to overdo it with unnecessary emphasis and sensationalism. Possibly the reason why I found the game unbearable.
Puzzles. One type of puzzle all along the ****ing game. What the ****. Seriously. ****.
Graphics. Overdone nonsense. Were beautiful at times but mostly forgettable and tons of issues like invisible walls, no footsteps or water movement, no environmental damage. Face was ok I guess but I didn’t even find the main bitch good to look at.
Don’t bother. Don’t waste money. Make this a commercial flop so nobody ever tries this shite again.

Already a commercial success, they needed to sell between 200k and 300k, they got 500k a lot faster than what they projected.
Hopefully they make more games like this one, it was the best gaming experience this year, heck in many years.
Anyways I recommend people buy the game, cause it is truly a unique experience, but it is not for everyone.

Honestly, KAC is the first and only person I have seen that said the VO was terrible, everyone else felt like the Voice acting was top notch.
