GAS

OPEC's de-facto leader Saudi Arabia said the cut of 2 million barrels per day (bpd) of output - equal to 2% of global supply - was necessary to respond to rising interest rates in the West and a weaker global economy.

Well just came back from the gym and the above had already raised regular from around $2.85 a few days ago to around $3.05 now. This is twice the speculated amount so apparently they're not trying to hide it in the hurricane related spike anymore.

Problem isn't the oil it's the refinement of it. That's always been the bottleneck. No gas company wants to build an expensive refinement plant that going to take years to build only to end up with everyone moving away from fossil fuels.

Drill all you want, you still end up here.

some gas stations are at 5.15 to 5.20 here today they all will be tomorow or higher

Just saw gas was back down to 3.09 down here. Guess those rigs are back on line after Hurricane Ian. Highest I saw was 3.15.

We seem to trail behind the adjustments by a few days. Still at $3.75/gal, right now.

It was hovering around 3.03 to 3.05 for quite a bit but the SPR announce dropped it to 2.99 down here. I'm surprised you guys haven't seen the after Ian bump down by now.

The google says our gas tax is .20 a gallon. I just saw 2.91 while running around getting my battery replaced (talk about inflation 4.5 years ago the same "gold" level battery was around $180 out the door, this time it's $209 even before taxes and fees!).

Jeez! That’s close to AVgas tax here lol. AVgas is something like $0.46….

Anyone notice a jump in gas prices? Down here in Houston it had been a steady 2.75 to 2.85 a gallon for regular for a long while but two days ago it was 2.99 and today it's 3.09. The financial rags are saying with China's zero covid policy now kaput gas prices are going to sky rocket again unless the recession everyone has been expecting since last summer actually materializes.

Current gas prices in crazy krautland: $ 7.325 a gallon.

You're welcome.........
