Game pass

New Beth games on game pass. Including the old dooms and dishonored and even Fallout 4 and 76.

Doom64 port is sweet and is ultrawide friendly. Although I suggest using the un-offical config tool to more easily switch the game into Vulkan mode, as the DX11 mode has some bugs apparently

Wow, good call on Doom 64! I didn't realise I had never played it. More different from vanilla Doom than I thought, but works and looks pretty good on modern hardware. Thanks!

Yeah Doom 64 is a complete stand alone Doom game that was exclusive to the Nintendo 64 up until recently.

I played it a ton back in the N64 days and thought it was fantastic. Haven't picked it up for PC yet though but I imagine it would be even better on this platform.

EA Play is finally coming to PC tomorrow for Game Pass Ultimate or Game Pass for PC subs.

That's something, anyway. I'm still kinda ticked that Outriders is coming to the XBox wing of Game Pass but it's not coming to the PC version. Wish I knew if it was Microsoft playing the profits/favourite or if it was legit licencing issues.

Doesn't seem to work right yet. Go to install the games available for free on game-pass and the takes you the new "EA desktop" app and you just get options to pick a EA Play pass level or buy the game

Mine actually does work but it didn't when it was released.
Also, I have EA Play Pro already on Origin so maybe that made a difference. I tried to cancel membership but I could only cancel
after it dinged me for another year of it. Kept giving me error messages online that wouldn't let me cancel.

It was supposed to be out in December but got delayed. Good thing they took the extra time to get it functioning.

To double check to see:

5. Scroll down you'll find your Xbox account under 'Connected accounts'"

That is just one way to do it..

It worked for me day one, but I had already linked my account.

The main thing I don't like about Game Pass is you aren't informed about how long 3rd party game will be on there.

They only seem to tell you about them leaving Game Pass at their leisure.

Starting an 80 hr RPG one week before it's scheduled to be leaving is not cool.

Yeah its this kind of thing that makes me never want to bother with services like game pass. I know its a good value and probably makes a lot of sense for causal gamers but you lose too much control for my liking. I had 3 month trial and never bothered starting a single game on it.

Yeah, that can be annoying. It benefits Microsoft and publishers/developers though. A lot of people try games on Game Pass then go on to purchase them. There's usually a discount too.
