FuryX for $519cdn

that is an awful idea with something that would be hanging with a running fan and pump lol .. it would likely vibrate like mad.

It's definitely not the best option, but if you use heavier duty ones and cinch them up really tight, the result can be pretty secure. But, yeah, don't even try it unless it's a last resort.

true but pump is in the card not the rad

use or make metal a fan bracket

my second rad has been fine inside the top of the case near a top hole

mind the dust :o

Just want to say... A year later and my FuryX is still going strong! Usually just have a small OC of 1100mhz with a few extra mv on the core and it runs everything I throw at it maxed out at 1080p (for now, 1440p still coming soon). You're going to love this thing Higgy.

BF1 beta ran between 90-110 fps max settings, even with the resolution scale bumped up a bit.

Doom smooth as silk. A billion FPS with max settings? Something like that. Vulkan ftw.

Witcher 3 smooth as silk (with hairworks on low/4x AA, but I actually haven't bothered with that setting since last year, so I'm not sure if it performs any better now).

Also, switched out the stock radiator fan for one of the new Corsair ML120 fans. Expensive, but performs great and is easily the quietest 120mm fan I have ever heard. Don't get me wrong though, stock fan is fine... This mainly was an aesthetic upgrade (match red LED's in my case).

I will easily be keeping this card well into the Vega launch. Vega will really need to impress me AND there needs to be an AIO water cooled option either as reference or from one of the AIBs. I don't want to deal with a custom loop, but having my CPU and GPU under water has been amazing (SILENT) in my Corsair Air240 case

Newegg selling the XFX for $380 USD ($360 after MIR) is a ridiculously good deal: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150742&cm_re=FuryX-_-14-150-742-_-Product

if I wouldn't need a bigger PSU I would get a third fury x
but don't think my 1050watt will handle 3

Tbh I'm not expecting much of perf increase vs my existing setup, unless crossfire doesn't work. Heat and noise are another story tho. For a total cost to me of $120 it's a decent sidegrade

I couldn't resist either. Just bought an R9 FURY SC TRi Air cooled now that the price dropped into the $200's. Too good a deal to pass up. :D

Decided to pass on the 1070 as my processor would probably bottleneck it to Fury-like numbers anyway and I don't need 4k.

Is that a Sapphire Nitro? I have a Nitro Fury. It is a beast cooler. I played the bioshock remastered w/ v-sync only 55-56C. Very cool, not much heat at all. You should set a custom fan curve using the MSI Afterburner. So you don't have to be worry about the fan noise and heat. 8-)

Indeed it is.. the OC version for nearly 50% off the original release price.

Spent the last two generations (gtx 760 & 970) with Nvidia.. and while I have no complaints and digital vibrance helped, the Nvidia cards never quite seemed to be able to match the image quality and color richness of AMD. Looking forward to seeing if that is still the case.

Will also keep the custom curve settings in mind when the card arrives.

Wow, what a piece of hardware! The Sapphire Nitro OC Fury arrived today. Feels like it's 80% metal. Nvidia drivers definitely look better out of the box, but once I got the AMD drivers dialed in the result was incredible. Also getting 20-30fps improvement over the GTX 970, which means my CPU wasn't nearly as much of a bottleneck as I thought.

What's your current CPU right now? I have an i5 3570K @ stock clock, but apparently, I need to upgrade the CPU because of my Fury Pro due to the unplayable Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. I'm waiting for AMD Zen.
