Death Stranding

After watching that IGN video, I'm quite sure I won't find it interesting. Others might. But I'm sure we can all agree that it will make for some of the most boring streaming ever.

good video to get an idea for the game but also some limited spoilers about it at the same time.

From what I've seen so far, the gameplay does indeed seem like a slow, micromanagement grind.

I'm still onboard and wanting to play it though, just for the story. Kojima never disappoints me in that respect. I will be buying it on PC when it releases.

considering 1/4th of my 2khours in elite was spent cargo hauling with enjoyment, I don't see why I wouldn't enjoy this game with an interesting story attached.

Just bought the Special Edition (Steelbook case) on Amazon for PlayStation 4. I think a slow-paced game like this might actually benefit from a controller (I know you can play with a controller on PC too though). Also, not sure if higher frame rates will benefit the game either (hell, from what I hear, it's almost a movie). Sure, it might *look* better on PC but it definitely doesn't look bad on PS4/PS4 Pro. Will see how the PC version turns out and then decide if I want to purchase that as well.

it's such a sad state of video gaming when gamers couldn't comprehend that not all games have to contain action pew pew gameplay.

This game does have that though, you can eventually just pew pew your way out of the stealth sections.

RIght. But a game also needs something more than just running from point A to Point B with no real gameplay in the middle just so you can watch a cut scene.

This is literally a walking simulator.
Literally in the literal sense of the word.

Stop complaining about the gameplay, let's talk knee to ankle interaction physics.
Does it make you feel like Legs?

Isn't the majority of the game cutscenes?
No, most of the time you're walking (and stumbling clumsily) from point A to point B, while 'protecting' the cargo strapped to your back. There are some brief stealth sections, and some brief combat sections but you pretty much play a delivery guy for the majority of the game. There are indeed quite a few cutscenes, some of the very unnecessary and time wasting, but you can skip almost every one.

I saw Jim impression video. Its exactly like you describe. I will get this game on the cheap. The game looks just WAY too boring.

Yeah but it really doesn't, that's the point. A game can be whatever it wants to be.

If people are obsessed with playing Bus or Train simulators, then there's enough room for a Sci-Fi Postman simulator. :bleh:

maybe a job at Amazon for a week would be about the same but better as it will give you the 50 bucks :bleh:
