Days Gone PC - Released

Completed this today, took a little over 80 hours since I 100% all the quest storylines (except the horde killer one). Most players will prob finish in about 40-50 hours, even though there is a lot of content available the quality of said content is quite variable. It was a fairly ok experience overall - while the game did have its highs and enjoyable moments (some character relationships were very well done), it had enough lows that I wouldn't recommend it to someone over other similar games.

Simple gameplay designs/mechanics you think that the devs would realize they should have improved upon while play testing the game, but for some reason left it as is. Anyhow those things have been discussed to death in all the reviews/forums so not gonna bother to discuss them here. It's worth it at $25 bucks, if you need a game to kill some time.

I'm glad multiple people in this thread didn't listen to you about this game. It was great.

I didn’t give this a fair shot to be perfectly honest. I need to pick it up again and give it some time.

Yeah, I’m enjoying it quite a lot. The voice acting is quite good and I like the multiple solutions to encounters.

Anyone know the significance of the stacked stones? I have knocked a few over, can't see any auto save happening after that so not sure what dead is.

They're Ripper monuments. I didn't see anything to gain by knocking them over besides hearing some funny dialogue.

I fired this up just now and fast travelled some where on the map. As it was loading I walked off to go get my coffee and could hear the music transition to the "you're in danger" music.

I said , here we go I'm going to get killed now.

I come back to my desk and there is a mutated bear standing right behind me just doing nothing. Soon as I panned the camera around to look at it, it whacked me

Different strokes I guess. I didn’t engage much with the story and most of the characters were despicable. You could also see the betrayal from a mile. And the ending was quite underwhelming.

It's a zombie apocalypse .. of course the characters are going to be "despicable" lol, everyone is fighting for survival and doing what they have to do. It's a perfect portrayal of humanity. ****, look at how everyone has acted (and continues to act) with the COVID pandemic. The story was spot on and nailed pretty much exactly how I'd expect the average person to behave in that kind of situation.

The betrayal? Assuming you're talking about Deacon's wife , I don't know how you seen it coming that she would choose to stay at the camp to find a solution instead of running away with Deacon . If it had been me, I would have ran w/ crew and never looked back. Or are you talking about that ****ing rat from Iron Mike's camp that sided with the Rippers and tried to kill everyone?

The ending was kind of meh, I guess, but after the rollercoaster of a story with some amazing highs and somber lows, I don't think that's really a fair complaint.

Was talking about the latter.
Wife choices also didn’t make sense to me. Must be an American thing. :bleh:

Taking out Hordes in this is so satisfying especially when you get to sneak up to them in their caves, planting proximity bombs in a line and watching them get raped. Any left overs you just cut them down with a machine gun.

Yes machine game very nice in Kangaroo land. :bleh:

How far are you in the game. The horde in the tunnel was the worst for me as I ran out of all ammo and stuff. So I kept switching between the two sides of the wall and taking each zombie one by one. You will only understand this if you reached that point.
