Looks like early reviews in, some issues with cpu and gpu usage, hitching etc., so sounds like I’ll wait for some patching and you folk to test and tell me once working smoothly. Ta.

Picked this up via CDkeys for $54 AUD, installed, waiting on a couple of patches and then will commence it after A Plague Tale Innocence which is waiting on me to finish off Ghost Recon Breakpoint first.

 , why you pick it up then?

By the time you get to it it'll be $20 Rupees.

Days Gone PC Data Collection Policy Is a Privacy Nightmare

Sony's latest first-party game to make its way to PC, Days Gone, is facing flak for its data collection policies. Caught by Steam user Higgsterman (via IGN reader Aworas), Days Gone reportedly tracks every keystroke a player might make on their computer while the game is running.

Other data collected by Days Gone while it is running includes details on folders and all of their contents regardless of file type. According to users on Reddit, there is no way to properly opt out of any sort of data collection.

Players, however, have found workarounds to be able to play Days Gone without having to sacrifice their privacy. The methods involve essentially blocking the game with a firewall so that, even though it collects data, the data can't be transferred to a server.

Wow, that’s freaking scary. Even if the devs are collecting and not reading the data themselves, there have been so many data breaches that the last thing I need is to find out all my accounts are compromised because someone hacked their servers. That said, I don’t trust the devs to not look at that stuff. I also wonder if law enforcement could/would subpoena that data if they thought they could gather evidence from it.

I just want to play a game… I don’t want my whole life destroyed because someone stole my bank account info. Man…

I think I am going to just buy a PC with nothing but games on it and literally not enable anything else. Keystrokes while game is running. How do you know it isn’t doing that while game is not running?

That's true! You should be able to see suspicious services or whatnot running, but you could be approving all sorts of ****. Pretty scary.

So, does anyone know if the EGS version has achievements?

Tim Epic has a way better price for this game than Gaben, so I'm pretty tempted by it.

But no achievements=no buy.

Speaking of data collection i've noticed in the last windows update that edge was ****ing with my internet and found out it was sending upload data to microsoft ip pretty hard on two separate ip's. I blocked those bastards promptly.

double check if you all want while running edge for a bit if these two microsoft ips don't show up and start throttling your upload rate.
