I have a question maybe James could answer..I only use my 1 crt monitor but isn't the new hydrovision have some features like window
and menu transparency, also shadow?Does this work on XP and not ME?
It's unclear to me.I tried using the beta hydrovision and didn't see
anything about it.I use Windowblinds and they also have another prog
as part of the Object Desktop that gives some of these same features,
I think it's WindowFX but I can't remember right now.I also remember
Stardock saying some of these features will work on XP but not ME.Is
this the case here too?

Not sure on transparency, I actually have not messed around with the new hydravision yet. There are some 3rd party apps that can do that as well though.

Nobody has final yet though.

SVCD compliant capture ...

SVCD compliant capture ...

... with MMC 7.7 : great !!!

I am currently having problems trying to create SVCD under XP + Radeon 64 Vivo.

MMC 7.7 : No more need for AVI capture and conversion to SVCD mpeg2.

I have em, have had em for a few days.

They are only RC3 though, the new final version is coming today.

Well so much for the leaks, I guess ATI is cracking their whip harder at those who have the betas now.

I still don't see why they don't release public betas more often, if idiots have problems with them and don't read or get a mental block that it says they are unsupported that's their own tough luck.

the 6093's were a leak (prolly RC2) just missing the panels, because when I installed catalyst it installed the panels AFTER the drivers were installed.

6094 RC3 came out a few days ago and was given to certain people that work with ATI, the final version (6095 perhaps?) SHOULD be out today for us all to play with.

This is a big move for ATI, it really shows that they are committed to customer satisfaction, and they have kept their bargain in terms of drivers.

ATI kept these hush hush for a reason, prolly to keep the bad press away from them during the development phase, as they have really rewritten many keys that control how the card functions. In fact the new version of Rage3DTweak has to be updated to work with these new keys.

"The drivers we have benchmarked today are in fact RC3 build 524 of the Catalyst driver. The final build is now available from www.ati.com, however, at the time of our testing we did not have the final build that is released today"

well, well, well ... looks like today is the big day.

just put that on the front page. Brent does some pretty damn good reviews.

Ahhh....

So finaly, when som Nvidia user starts screaming about Detonators, we can scream about Cataclyst, and just not "the 7.70" or something :D

Hmmm, if ATI is on Eastern Time like canada is, then it's 7:50 right now. Meaning their offices will open pretty soon, look for them to be posted any time now.

I think it's time to stickify one thread for feedback now ;)

Possibly separate for newer and oleder Radeons?

Good luck beching...

they are up start downloading!!

edit to say 10.84 MB

Hydravision, WDM capture drivers, MMC, Remote Wonder, and drivers for any languages other than English French or German are separate Downloads.

I'm uploading them to my server now, and will post linkage shortly for those who can't seem to get off the ATi servers (which will be swamped shortly). :)

wow, thanks for hosting!
at the moment ATI page still was performing good, had approx. 25Kb/sec.
Unfortunately I need to wait until after work to test the drivers. I hope the overlay surface problems are solved...
