Cat 14.7 RC1 Out

The glasses will do one thing that no extra monitors can, which is head tracking so I can look in any direction, and without ever moving the mouse at all, and still be in the game environment....With 3 monitors you're still forced to look at them and use the mouse to change viewpoints.

Using three monitors is optional, of course. If you use one monitor then there is no reason to flex your neck when a tiny wrist flex will accomplish the same thing via your mouse. I predict that people will find "head tracking" will not be the panacea they imagine. In fact, continuously moving your entire head up & down & right & left will quickly become tiresome...;) You'll be pining for your mouse before you know it...!

I also find it curious that you used the word "glasses"...Glasses? It's much more like a heavy diving mask than a mere pair of glasses. You can start practicing ahead of time, though--just find an empty bucket to turn upside down and put on your head for a couple of hours at a time--just to sort of "limber up" for the real thing, ya' know?...;) Get you used to overwhelming feelings of suffocation and blindness...that sort of thing...fun stuff like that...;)

I did actually about 15 years ago, when there was a specialized arcade/ restaurant/ bar downtown playing the original Mech warrior games in custom booths using VR glasses, and it was fun as hell.....Makes me wonder why it took so long for a home version to appear to be honest.

1) Latest Flash is VERY stable, but I use 12.06 (yes!) - all drivers above have some and random critical bugs, but 14.x line is fuc* up totally.

2) Man, it is not solution it is like "dont use GFX".

IMHO AMD simply dont have a money to right developing software.
The previous flash version was rock stable with exactly the same catalyst drivers.
So please, stop the nonsense.

Anyway, with a CPU like mine, running flash without hardware acceleration doesn't make a difference... so *shrug*. I just wanted to warn people who may wonder why their rock stable computer just started to crash when surfing the Internet.

EDIT: nevermind, I just looked at your post history. Okkkayyy...

Ye, right - You of course know how stable is Flash on eg. my computers and on what configurations. Next seer from nowhere.

Of course again - so Adobe, Google (in Chrome), Fifrefox etc etc use this for nothing, they investing big money into HW acceleration only for fun.

Korrigan - You are truly funny guy who like talking with facts.

Win+P eyefinity/extended switching is completely broken in win 8.1

starting to look a whole lot like nvidia surround... come on AMD.

Have you tried setting up profiles with shortcuts instead?

Every time I update my drivers it breaks the profiles and I have to set them up again, which can be a pain in the arse as sometimes the profiles don't work after setting them up, deleting them and setting them up a second time usually solves any issues I have.

Well got my new PSU in last night, Corsair AXi series, although the statich and hissing noise coming from the MaxRevo is now gone and the PC is nearly silent the Microstutter still exists though...

Trolling much, kid?
You simply can't see the difference between flash decoded by the GPU or the CPU on my system. Because there is none.

Can you enlighten us to your ways?

Software vs hardware is night and day on my system, would love to go back to HW but I'm just not even willing to try it at the moment (Thanks AMD:mad:)

I tried profiles back in win7 and they didn't work then, I don't know why they would work now.

Win+p method is how displayfusion does the switching and it worked flawlessly since the day I got amd cards back in my machine, and now... broken.

So I can either;
A) Run 14.7 and have all my monitors literally go to sleep after idle, but not be able to switch to eyefinity without going into the control panel and reconfigure everything
or
B) Run 14.4 and have easy eyefinity switching with two clicks, but have to physically power off my one monitor as DP will not get a sleep signal and the backlighting stays on regardless of whether there's a signal or not.

So no then?

I've been using them for a long time now, they do work but the setup can be a little annoying. Once they work they almost always work, when they don't work you just apply the profile again and it works.

Sure, profiles implementation is, well, balls, but they do work once setup.
