Hot Fixes would imply fixing issues not introducing them. Since the 14.6 Beta and RC1 and RC2 issues such as:
Mantle memory leak problems in BF4
Increase Temps on some but not all AMD GPU's but its to be expected when drivers utilize the GPU better.
Diablo 3 freeze on exit
And a few others.
The AOC fix is great for those who use an AOC Display. The fact is they ignore AAA titles which is what the card is used for, games like BF4, Watch Dogs, Diablo 3, WoW etc etc remain bugged or unplayable but hey Plants Vs Zombies requires a Crossfire Profile but Watch Dogs remains poor....
Not saying its a bad thing but come on, lets actually fix games people play rather then months and months of issues. I am getting tired of filling out a driver report form to AMD, this will be the 5th time I am filling one out....
EDIT: Installed the driver and did some quick tests -
1.) World Of Warcraft stutter galore, constant 60FPS and then for no reason 48FPS back to 60FPS then to 52FPS and then 60FPS. Happens more so when moving or flying. Does not occur on Nvidia. Disabling Crossfire or disabling Frame Pacing does nothing. This is at 4K.
2.) Diablo 3 massive stutter, disabling Crossfire or Frame Pacing does nothing. The game will show running at 60FPS but will drop to 20FPS for no reason and then stay there for about 5 seconds. Then it will jump back up to 60FPS. 60FPS though dosen't feel smooth all the time, mostly feels around 40FPS. Game locks when using ALT+F4 or exiting, this did not occur on 14.4 or 14.6 Beta only on RC1 and RC2 and now 14.7 RC1. Resolution 4K
3.) Watch Dog's runs like garbage at 4K, shows 60FPS but stutters and feels like 30FPS. Only 15% Scaling at 4K....
4.) Mantle crashes in BF4, not even able to open it without getting the out of memory error, does not occur on 14.4. Disabling Crossfire has no effect.
5.) 295x2 and 290x both show about 4c temp increase but meh.
5th driver in with AMD and not looking good at all. ( 14.4, 14.6 Beta, 14.6 RC1, 14.6 RC2 and 14.7 RC1 ).
