Arrived last night, have driven it about 30 miles and love it.

Wife loves the car too, especially since I can put it in comfort mode and it rides so much smoother. Have so much to learn about the gadgetry in the car, and also need to hook up my OBD11 to it and poke around.
 
Awesome!! Looks great. I was looking for a Golf R in a similar color, but had a hard time finding one. Very cool.

Washed after work. Realized today it has that polarized UV blocking film on the front windshield, really happy about that this summer.

It's gonna be so sad when I have to put a front plate on.

My cousin had a sweet ride like that he did not want to put the plate on the front so he contacted the local sheriff and they said it is also legal to put the plate in the front window as long as it is easily visible.

I thought it looked weird having the plate in the corner of the window however. But what ever, my cousin liked it better that way.

If that is legal in TX as well that might keep your ride looking sweet on the grill.

The red on the seats is overblown in their pictures though, it's actually a bit darker.

2 days of ownership and I absolutely love this car, top to bottom. I looked underneath as well, nothing underbody-wise is damaged or out of place, looks basically new under there. I do have one issue, the electrical harness for the passenger rear door was broken somehow, it won't clip in. I did verify that the door still operates when plugged in but there's no way to keep it plugged in. I've scheduled an appointment at my local dealer to have it looked at, as well as to inspect the rest of the car for me.
 
So jealous of Audis virtual cockpit. All car manufacturers need to steal that and integrate it into their own cars.

To each his own. I actually prefer the traditional guages. I actually bought a last gen A6 instead of the brand new ones because I hated all the screens.

Virtual cockpit was a must for me, I love it. It's pretty customizable, and love the nav on it, even if I still use Waze on Android Auto on the other screen. Now if I could get a Waze display there, that would be amazing.

My criteria when shopping was:

Any color but black
Virtual cockpit
7 speed DSG

Basically only the 2018 S3 was in my price range and met my criteria.

Yeah, I see COTA every day on the way home from work. Can hear cars/bikes when they hold events too.

Still, starting with Autocross.
