Starfield - futuristic space exploration sci-fi RPG from Bethesda

I think Xbox is counting on people getting game pass to get in cheap, and then keep churning out content to keep them subscribed. A bad launch or people getting fed up with the game isn't something they can afford with this business model.
 
I'm not a fan of games only using what is more or less the worst upscaling tech when there are better options available.
 
FSR (at least the latest iteration) really only falls behind in any meaningful way when you start dipping below quality. Regardless, FSR works on everything. The same can't be said for DLSS, and AMD/Intel users get screwed over with Nvidia sponsored DLSS only titles. Even if they don't (silently) include DLSS at launch it will likely be added in later. If not it will get modded in.
 
The thing is, there are no recent dlss only titles, if an nv sponsored title has dlss support, it also has xess and fsr support.
 
Looks like that game might time with the midrange launch of the Radeon 7800-7700xt's. Wouldnt be surprised to see it as a free game with gpu promo. With the way things are going maybe we might even get the 3 free game promo we saw not that long ago. Im aiming at a 7700xt if price is right vs 4060ti 16gb version so we'll see.
 
Todd has never said anything in his life that wasn't a lie - so judging by that this game will suck harder than a 2 dollar hooka.
 
Early access starts 8PM EDT Thursday (simultaneous global access, so convert to your time zone). Review embargo lifts 8 hours prior.

Word on the grapevine (leaks) is the game is fantastic and easily a GOTY contender. It's also the least buggiest Bethesda game by far.
 
Will downpump when I get home today. Preload up for this POS? Gamepass also getting early access?
 
Yeah, preload has been live for a while now. Game Pass subs can get early access with the premium edition upgrade.
 
21 hours? I thought it was on the 6th... Buddy pre loaded today and it went quick.

Edit: oh early access here again as well doh...

AMD been working with Bethesda on this one for some time maybe it doesnt need a special driver?

Not sure if this is a tongue-in-cheek post. They're outlier reviews for sure. The overwhelming majority have given it 8's, 9's and 10's.

OpenCritic and Metacritic averages sitting at 87-88.
