if i choose to upgrade my OS, it will be for reasons other than "because ati doesn't know how to write drivers for my current one."
i use windows 2000 and plan on keeping it for some time. upgrading is expensive, and 2000 is working fine right now.
as for the post about the windows xp copy protection, i *think* you do have to call MS for an unlock code after you use the same key so many times, but i don't think you have to pay more money for it. you just tell them some reasonably legitimate excuse (eg, formatted the hard drive).
