What's the last thing you purchased?

That's forward thinking. Have to wonder if an intermediate goal of down payment on a house might not be a bigger impact overall though? Ownership VS lifetime of rent.
That's another plan entirely. I'm hoping that do something about that but it's linked to my pension and the lump sum I'll get from that. I thnk in the future kids will every bit of help they can muster. The SIPP is very much the long game, cash goes in, you invest it as you see fit and she won't be able to access till she's 57 at least. When she's 18 she can take control of the product and manage it herself. I think it's easier to talk pensions with young people if they have something to nuture to begin with.

Our old GE side by side's defroster died after 15 years of use. Would've stuck with the brand but none of their french door models would fit properly in our space so ended up with the above. Had to give up half a shelf as Mom didn't think it was safe to keep milk on the door drawers and the cartons were too tall no matter how I jiggered the 3 levels where the shelves can go. Thing gave us a jolt when it started beeping as we were transferring food from our igloo after it cooled down to the right temperature. Apparently these new fangled fridges have an alarm if you keep the door open too long.

Waited 30 years for this it was only out on VHS... It never came out on dvd or bluray. There was a laserdisc edition but the download of it was awful :

I've been designing and building golf putter heads.
Old printer has a tough time with fiber infused nylon.
