What are your criteria for a smartphone?

I've had my S5 for quite a while now and I still like it (once I rooted it and installed LineageOS). However, I've been curious about google daydream and was looking at the possibility of upgrading. My criteria is :
* Replaceable battery
* Water resistant
* Gorilla glass screen
* AMOLED display
* 5.5 inch display
* > 1080p diplay
* Android 7.1.2+ or supported by LineageOS

I'm looking around and there doesn't seem to be anything. Am I overlooking anything?

Good enough battery life to last over 1 full day, 5+" display, at least HD resolution, and that's about it. Some of my wants would be dual front speakers, water resistant, and no glass back. Not really interested in Android anymore, my current Android devices (both on Nougat) are ho-hum.

Are there any water-resistant phones with a replaceable battery?

My criteria are pretty lax, 5.5"+ good quality screen, good camera, good battery life.

1. Expandable storage
2. Removable battery
3. Store Apps on interal storage or SD card
4. No signal problems
5. Durable

You guys with removable battery requirements, can I ask why? With portable chargers these days, seems somewhat redundant. Even for replaceability, do we even keep phones long enough to hit battery half life?

Top Camera
1+ Day of Battery
64GB or More of storage.

Same ! Camera is very important, keep taking pics and videos of the kiddos...

I couldn't go back to a smaller than 64 Go of space... I have 128 on my 3T and it rocks never having to clean everything.

Mine..
Qi Wireless Charging
USB 3.1
Quality camera.. (still miss my 1020)
Dedicated camera button or quick access (aka Moto "wrist flick")
IP67
SD Card
Removable battery..
Closest so far is maybe the S7/S8 or Lumia 950

It's better than needing to buy a new phone? I'm on my second battery in my wife's S5. I bought a refurb for my wife and its battery life was horrible. Bought a cheap OEM replacement on amazon.ca for 20 bucks and I can get almost 2 days out of it.

You can still do battery swaps with enclosed phones. Imo still more convenient than looking for phones with removable batteries these days.

Loving my V30 so far. Battery seems amazing and the camera seems to be great.

1. Easy to get root access
2. Long battery life, at least one day work
3. 5.5 inch or below, 1080p and below
4. Hardware navigation button that dont take up screen space
5. 32GB+ internal with SD card slot, more than 3GB RAM

Currently my newly bought Xiaomi Mi A1 fits the bill. The most impressive thing is I could get good screen on time. Usually around 5 to 6 hours when the battery reach 50%

Many mid tier phones work just fine for me, I can't justify paying much more than 300 € per phone.

- Less than 5 inch screen.
- Battery life at least 36 hours, preferrably more than 48 hours.
- SD card.
- At least 1.5 GB RAM, more is good.
- Processor specs are not important.

-~5" screen
-Internet browsing
-gaming capability (the tech nerd in me wants the best processor, but I don't think i'll ever need such power in a small device)
-good camera
-easy to use
-32gb at least (with or without SD card expansion)
-one day battery life (I don't expect much else, but I don't want it do die halfway through the day either)

A really good headphone amp. That's why I bought this LG v20. If only you could adjust it's impedance output without rooting it.
