If you're getting a new monitor there is no point in staying on 1080p. Move to 1440p with 144Hz/165Hz with Freesync.
You can probably grab a Black Friday deal right now for 1ms and freesync monitor for like 250-300. And yes it is worth it. If you are still at 60 Hz you don’t even know wtf you are missing.
I will play with VSR on a 1080p and i still have the native resolution advantage. With 1440p i have to buy fancy hardware.
You don't need fancy hardware for 1440p/60-80fps anymore. The Vega56 will likely handle it fine. The only place 1440p gets difficult nowadays are in the high framerate range of 144-165+.
Never hurts to have more Hz. But more resolution, can lead to destitution![]()

There are games that play abysmal on AMD hardware even at 1080p.Another reason is after i looked at a video from Tech Deals the guy said 5700xt and 2060super are cards for 1080p Ultra detail.Vega56 was in this segment of price of 400$.If i was KAC and his money i would have got another tier or even 4k just for tasting the experience.I know 4k is nice because i emulated it with VSR on vega56.I played Dishonored in VSR 4k but the FPS was bad.
A premium 1080p monitor like Lenovo Legion Y25 should be fine.Is 350$ here in my country.
I already have the 55 inch CX but I don’t really use it. Too much of an ordeal to play games with a game pad. Need something in the 32 inch range. If they make an OLED in that range that would be awesome. Also I feel DP has better IQ than HDMI. Call me crazy but on my G7 I have my 3090 hooked up through DP and 3070 hooked through HDMI and the IQ feels better using DP.
Dude you really need to start reading. I don’t give a **** about 60 Hz monitors.
