Stray -The Purrrfect Game for Feline Lovers

Its not worth 30 bucks. Its short and the ending is underwhelming. Play for free on PS+ or wait for a discount IMO.

ive seen quite a few people saying they expect to see it on peoples game of the year lists. Not number 1, but on there. So im surprised you dont think its worth 30.

The internet loves cats.

Its pretty basic and pretty short although its got some nice visuals for what it is. The ending is underwhelming and the actual gameplay is pretty basic. I dont know what would warrant a game of the year nod.

it's definitely NOT game of the year although it has great visuals and a lot of nice details and you can see they've put a lot of love into that game.

Visual stunner, fun although simple game-play and story was decent even though I wasn't a huge fan of the ending.

But again, those visuals . I was playing on PS4 and even on that it looked awesome. You can tell they crafted the look very carefully.

Had fun with this one. Bought it yesterday and beat it in one sitting, 6.5 hours. Loved the graphics (looks amazing on OLED). Story was good, I liked the ending personally. They nailed the cats animations and character imo.

Pumping this game. It’s OK I guess. Reminds me of Rajni or something made by the same company. For 9 bucks ain’t complaining.

Finished it. Was quite boring with a predictable ending. A generous 7/10.

I picked this up on a whim and I'm enjoying it. Sometimes the cat animations are a little odd, but overall it's very well done. It's a nice time killer.

Completed this today, enjoyed it throughout - the real star of the show was some of the environments in the game, they were very well crafted in terms of cohesive visuals - the artists involved definitely had enough experience and skill to surpass typical indie games and have the visual fidelity of doubleA or even tripleA titles (in a couple specific areas).

The lighting especially in many areas of the game was very very well done. Superb.

Worth picking up when you can grab it at 15 bucks or less.

Edit: Well I spoke too soon when I praised a first person view mod from Nexus mods. It turns out first person view is too close to the ground that objects near and on the ground are blurry. So I'm now playing it in third person enjoying the cool looking environments because the cat is so small it blocks very little of the view.

Another game like that is Guild Wars 2 where the Asura character you can play is so little it doesn't really hinder the view all that much. And if you switch to first person in Guild Wars 2 all objects even in the distance lose detail compared to third person.

I know Stray has a first person view built in but it has kind of a large cat head and movement seems awkward if at all.

So I'm wondering how does the cat use a weapon or some devices without any thumbs? Maybe stands on its hind legs and holds the weapon with with both hands, I mean paws, and offs an animal or person that way. I'm still wandering around the first area with the concrete chasm I can't jump into. So i don't even know if there are any weapons in the game. And I could've avoided this post of course if I just went on YouTube to search "Stray video game cat combat scenes."

Don't get me wrong I like the game. Shows you how spending only 6 gb on a game can give graphics just as good as huge games like CP 2077 and RDR2.
