Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

Maybe he is referring to someone’s penis that smells heavily of macaroni cheese?

KAC, is your transgender mum schooling you again?

Finished it. Loved the visit by a special guest. Absolutely amazing game. More canon than any of the new crap. Great storyline, music, characters, gameplay, environments and everything else. Can’t believe they can’t make a movie like this.

9.5/10. Could have done better without Dark Souls nonsense gameplay but the fact that there was difficulty settings is great. At least I could bone it. I did most of the game on Jedi Master. Last boss I couldn’t be arsed.

Patch from the other day

We've updated Cal so that he is more responsive during combat. This change includes tweaks to stagger reactions, kicks, flybacks, staff parry, and sprint attacks.
Fixed an issue that would cause ledge grabs and climbing to sometimes behave incorrectly.
Fixed an audio issue that would sometimes cause sound effects to play in the incorrect order.
Multiple collision fixes across both Zeffo and Bogano.
BD-1 would sometimes not scan one of the Zeffo Villagers after a shutdown during saving. Everyone’s favourite droid is now scanning as expected.
Terrarium sometimes wasn't a very nurturing environment, preventing seeds from growing. It should now give your plants the love and care that they deserve, encouraging them to grow properly.
General stability improvements.

Just finished and I have to agree with KAC. Why didn't they make a whole movie trilogy with Cal, Cere, Greez and Merrin? Great story and fun gameplay. This game definitely surprised me. I enjoyed the combat and exploration. Some of the annoying sliding, wall walking, jump puzzle levels I could do without. But solid boss battles, tons of secrets, great characters and storyline, and different and unique environments made for a fun and challenging game. 9/10 for me also.

If you give Star Wars to the right folks, they can make really good stuff (Mandalorian and Jedi Fallen Order as examples). I'm very close to finishing but was trying to 100% all the planets... but I just don't have the patience anymore. Bogano at 100% but Kashyyk is 99% and Zeffo at like 98%. I just don't want to waste any more of my life trying to navigate Zeffo... on to the end.

Yeah I didn’t bother with 100%. After about 16 hours I was done with the game to a point where I reduced difficulty to finish last boss. However, it was one amazing ride and the storyline was top notch.

The final boss wasn’t hard once you discovered her weakness. A straight up fight would be hard though as she is super quick.

She is a real push-over once you figure it out

Most bosses in their red attacks can be pushed but I didn’t have the patience by the end of the game.

I wasn’t actually talking about interrupting unblockables. That alone won’t beat her. I dodge or jump those attacks.

Push staggers her regardless of her stamina. Once staggered you can get 2 maybe 3 strong attacks on her. I mostly avoided everything else. I tried to deflect but that was a losing battle. Except her light saber toss. That’s an easy deflect and damage back at her. She also rarely deflects your own light saber toss so be sure and throw yours at her as she stares at you from a distance.

Didn't use light saber throw in like the whole playthrough lol. :bleh:

She loved to stand out of your range and taunt you to attack. Attacking usually ended badly. Instead, it was a perfect time to shut her the hell up and get some damage with a toss. I thought this battle was the best boss battle as I had to try a few different things before I had any success at all. Although I did appreciate that, unlike Dark Souls games, every boss didn't play out this way. But one or two is fine for me.

Currently playing this game. It impresses me on multiple occasions, on multiple levels. To be honest, a lot of the game's qualities remind me of Sony's best exclusives. Respawn did a really good job here.

Animation is great (hands, faces, hair), graphics are really good (lots of detail, good lighting), the story is very Star Warsy and supported well by the music. I like the Souls-ish gameplay and the helpful droid, and I really love that most of the game's action is on the stick, not in cutscenes or cinematics, like taking a seat when going into hypersuperdrivewarpspace. Pacing is excellent too, with a good mix of platforming/exploring/fighting/thrilling heroics. I get lost sometimes, but the map's helpful.

There are plenty of Uncharted (platforming), God of War (combat, scope), The Last of Us (production values) vibes here, which is a very, very high bar to even come near. Doesn't quite match it in terms of gameplay for me, but so far I'm positively surprised by Fallen Order.

I'm about 20 hours into this myself. The level of detail in the game world and Star Wars ships, buildings, enemies are all very convincing.

I am disappointed by some of the platforming. Walking on a bent pipe to jump onto another bent pipe. Wall climbing a path that just happens to be the only path to take to get from A to B. Also not a fan of the invisible walls and false platforms when I think I've found a secret only to clip through a platform or rock outcropping. The sliding parts are awful. I don't get the Tomb Raider style squeeze through two walls sideways parts either. There's so many points where no skill is required and it seems I'm supposed to just enjoy the animation (which I did when it was Lara, but not so much Ian, clad in a figure un-flattering poncho no less).

The Ninth Sister battle almost had me throwing my PC against a wall. Must have died 50 times, if not more.

Other than that, superb game. :)

All boss battles are between terribad and terrible. I really hate the dark souls nonsense they tried to pull. Last boss I had to lower difficulty because I had no patience to keep looking for that in to strike nonsense. It’s Star Wars, if you aren’t doing pew pew mothafuka then I don’t know wtf else you are there for.
