Salt And Sacrifice

I haven’t looked for any other critique videos, but I did jump in and play another 45 minutes, went on another mage hunt, which is the running theme of the game.

Some more takeaways (trying to be unbiased here) weapons/armor are not nearly as common as the first game. It seems they want you to accomplish what you can to a certain point. Maybe it opens a bit after, maybe not. Don’t know yet. I really don’t like the weapons choices so far, and upgrade materials seem more rare than the first game.

Also, invading other players are a thing. Screw that. Nope, just no. It’s more rare than souls games and harder to set up and do, but it’s there.

I’m really trying hard to like this, or get some satisfaction from it because I loved the first game so much, but right now, it’s a game that looks kind of like Sanctuary, but really isn’t a lot like it, at all.

that video is a bit much. Most of the video is just him failing. There are definitely a couple things in the video that show a bad design though. Not sure about the bosses one though, the footage he shows of a boss is directly counter to what he says in the video. I dont think its a good video, positive or negative for the game.

Anyone found any better ones?

feel free to find others, youtube is full of them :bleh:

That being said i also don't like the new one, i really loved the first one though. As lazy said, i also really tried to like it but i just can't, i actually gave up on it after a few hours.

It actually makes me a little sad. I got so excited when this was announced because I loved the first game so much…

Salt and Sacrifice: Prepare to Cry

that sounds like a much more reasonable review, nice find.

Yeah I have a couple of other minor gripes aside from what he covers, but overall I think he did a pretty fair job of covering some of the differences between games that might turn players off.

Part of ‘my’ problem is that I wanted newer and updated, but not changed that much, that way.

I decided to push through a bit more and annoying parts are still annoying, but leveled up a bit and getting some tools it’s getting better.

Mage fights can be annoying as all heck, it’s all about the gank. But the rest is getting my interest more.

I just hate buying a game and not pushing through it.
