RX 480 owners thread

I'm a weak man. Got a reference Sapphire 480 on ebay for $250... Should be here tomorrow!

I still want a Nitro though. I got plans for the 3 systems that I am shifting hardware around in

You can also get an aftermarket cooler as separate if you can afford. Slap that to RX 480. You're all good to go.

Bench it with the new 3dmark for dx12!

This one seems to show that 10 gen pascal owners will get a boost for async as well.

I do find the score for fury (non x but still) a bit low considering the diff in shader power.

5$ plus 5$...

Almost seems worth it.

If this bench is for real it kinds of kiboshes nvidia's transistor budget and clock speed in its 10 gen advantages over the RX 480. It doesnt seem very efficient. Only for the moment a modest yet pricey brute strength win...

Barely faster than the 390X, which seems odd.

I picked up 2 of the XFX 8GB models with the backplate from Newegg. About the same in crossfire as my 290X Tri-X's, but much quieter. Those would really ramp up when loaded, these I have ran at default and really enjoy the silence. http://www.3dmark.com/fs/9429090.

Just sold these as I pulled the trigger on a Gigabyte 1080 Xtreme, shortest lived video cards I have ever had. These were great though, and I highly recommend them to anyone on a budget wanting kickass performance, even 1 of them at 1440 looked good to me.
