Red Dead Redemption 2

The FSR 2.0 is looking pretty good from what I'm reading and watching on youtube. Anyone given it ago and have some impressions? Preferable over the games own TAA implementation alone?

I wonder if it looks better than dlss, isn't this one of the titles where the developer chose to make the dlss implementation SHARP?

Indeed but thanks to the most recent patch they added a slider for SHARPNESS :D

Although the slider apparently doesn't allow you to turn sharpness off. So elements will still get halo artifact's even when it's completely lowered.

RDR2 is this generation's Crysis. I keep installing it, turning up all the bells and whistles, oooh-aaahing at the snow physics, then uninstalling as the frame rate makes me sad.

I really need to finish this game, I bought this game on day one but I've only reached the camp that you get after the tutorial.

I updated the DLSS file for this with the latest but each time the game starts it downloads and reverts to an older version, I think it was 2.2.4 or something. Was hoping to fix the horse hair dithering issue.

Can you make the dll read only?

It might be an anti-cheat measure for RDR-online, you probably need to find a way to circumvent r* social club.

I'm playing it now. Loving it. Settings maxxed out on my system and I get around 90fps average.

My only gripe is the constant trekking you have to do with your horse.

This game definitely has a very limited fast-travel mechanic. Strange imo considering how large the map is.

If you setup camp some place and leave it without tearing it down, does that become a fast travel point?

Shame.

Anyway, one does not realize how much detail is in this game until they watch videos on the Tube showing the amount of detail the game has.

There’s heaps of unique details. Horses which travel through the cold and then warm weather, Steam comes off their bodies. Dafuq.

Horse testicles expand and contract depending on weather. Sunlight that goes through an NPCs ear shows cartilage.
