These are non WHQL as well, for those people that need WHQL for DRM, this set isn't for you.

16.6.1 Hotfix

what happened to 16.6 to have a Hotfix to

and need a updated crossfire for doom, but maybe they are waiting for the vulkan patch :hmm:

This set installed just fine OTT of the previous beta drivers.

I have my 4K TV screen, along with 3 24-inch LCD monitors connected. The monitors default to 60 Hz just fine. But, the 4K TV insists on defaulting to 30 Hz, and, if I change it to 60 Hz, which I can, it will automatically revert to 30 Hz. This is at 1920x1080 when doing desk top stuff. I have this screen set as my Main Screen with everything set to "Extend to...." not Eyefinity group.

I'm using a DP->HDMI adapter that is suppose to support 60 Hz. So, how can I get it to function at 60 Hz when set to 1920x1080?

I have an unusual problem...While the 16.5.3's install perfectly--the 16.6.1's keep throwing up a "Detection Driver Error--contact AMD for assistance" message...I get this whether I clean install or try and install on top of the 16.5.3's.

EDIT: OK...got to the bottom of it...for some reason, Windows is reading a file inside the driver 16.6.1 package as incorrectly signed. I was able to force-install the 16.6.1's through the Device Manager--but the only way to reboot after that install is to turn off driver signature enforcement inside Win10x64. When that is done I can reboot successfully into a 16.6.1 desktop. However, and unfortunately, this is not a solution as upon the very next boot the 16.6.1 driver will refuse to load--so it's back to the 16.5.3's until AMD can get a fixed driver package out there for Windows 10 (unless I want to go through the advanced/Recovery options in Win10 every time I boot the system--which I don't...).

EDIT2: Here's a work-around for those of you for whom 16.6.1 is a necessity...;) This applies to Windows 10.

To permanently turn off driver signing in Windows 10, run the following from an administrator command prompt:

bcdedit /set testsigning on

This turns on test mode which turns off driver signing (so that you can "test.")

To turn it back on (restore Windows 10 default signing checks):

bcdedit /set testsigning off

This turns of test mode and turns default driver signing checks back on.

NOTE: These commands will *not* work in Windows 10 if Secure Boot is enabled in your UEFI bios!

You must turn off secure boot *permanently* in your UEFI for 16.6.1 to install and to *stay* installed. If you turn off secure boot and run the bcdedit /set testsigning on command as enumerated above, then turn secure boot back on, then the next reboot 16.6.1 will fail to load at boot. You must leave secure boot turned off for as long as you wish to run 16.6.1, or until AMD fixes the signing in the driver so that it will install normally with secure boot on, as does 16.5.3.

Are you using the Club3D DP to HDMI 2.0 adapter? if so you may need to get the firmware update for it (yes even adapters have onboard firmware these days it seems) I had to update mine to be able to use 4K at 60Hz as otherwise I only got 30Hz

@WaltC
Odd since they installed OK for me on Win10 X64.

that seems a bit weird, as the whole purpose of the 2.0 adapter is to get 4k@60, otherwise 1.3 is sufficient.

What motherboard do you have??? Make and model?

For me, these installed on Windows 10 for me without issue. However, I have Secure disabled because it can't be enabled on my Gigabyte board (GA-Z170X-Gaming GT), due to an issue with some Sapphire's R9 Fury cards. On my motherboard, disabling CSM (which needs to be done for secure boot to be enabled), renders the card useless and you can't boot into the system. Only way to solve this is to clear the CMOS, then enable CSM. You can read about the issue here: R9 Fury Tri-X won't work with CSM disabled. Right now I'm trying to get Sapphire to send me a customized BIOS. Oddly enough I could enable secure boot under on my Gigabyte Z87 board (G1 Sniper 5), even with CSM enabled

Anyway no issues with installing the drivers under Windows 10. Just a straight install. But yeah, for me, secure boot is disabled :(*

Actually, mine is the Accell adapter. B086B-011B. Would there be a firmware for it?

When I was checking these adapters out, the Club3D adapter was "out of stock" everywhere I was looking.

Sorry I am not sure, you would need to ask them. It could do if they both have the same chip inside.

Mantle in BF4 no longer works which is just bullshit.

True enough. It's been like this for a couple of driver versions.
If I heard right???? Mantle is no longer supported and AMD is aware of the problem, whether or not they address this BF4 issue and mantle is another question.
There's a couple threads about this on the AMD forum so if you haven't already, add your concerns.
