Official PC Gaming Deals Thread

Damn, Hawken was great, but that reborn has a bad rep. Also, not sure its "free" but rather free 2 play. So not really a deal. Thanks for the game links though! Metro especially is awesome for anyone who doesnt have it yet.

yeah, Hawken Reborn is beyond terrible, a real disgrace for the original fun game.

Warhammer 40,000: Gladius - Relics of War is free on Steam.

Hue is also free right now.

Nice. Free is free.

Does Steam do these freebie giveaways often? I seem to be coming across them more regularly recently.

Metro Last light Complete edition was free not too long ago

Mortal Kombat 11 was on promo 90% off which i think expired yesterday (probably due to the MK1 announcement).
It was like 12 dollars CAD for the whole shebang (MK11 and all the DLC)
The kicker was Injustice 2 was also on sale and including most of the DLC...and when packaged with the MK11 collection...for some reason both games with all the available DLC was only 13 dollars...1 dollar more than MK11 by itself. No brainer to get both.

Steam doesnt do anything, its entirely up to the publisher or devs what the price is on steam. Its why a lot of the big publishers get away with fudging sales. (as well as some smaller devs and publishers ive noticed over the years)

That said, I do think we are seeing more freebies on Steam. Partly, I think, a reflection on an aging catalogue. Also (And Gladius is an example of this) to sell DLC later. Plus, we've got better at telling you about these freebies!
