I think it's largely because there isn't a whole lot to do beyond PVP, and not everybody wants to do PVP, AND you can only really do PVP if you belong to a huge guild.

Many people don't want to do much PVP and just want want PVE but if there isn't much PVE content then they will naturally lose interest.

yep, as i said, it's friggin booooooooooring
 
im nto sure i'd put to much stock into that video. They didnt mention any of the hardware issues, or some of the other bugs that were big problems in the game, and they claimed a mmo with 900k peak players at launch was supposed to be the saviour of mmos. Yet Black desert isnt even a super popular mmo and it has 900k concurrent players right now... not even peak...

Sounds like the video was a bit of a fluff piece, though it had actual narrative and information in it.
 
Apparently the games actually good, there just inst a whole lot to do. New expansion coming out soo though, may want to wait for that to drop.
