Haha its mostly a Yaris in name and appearance only.

They needed to build this car because Toyota has a Yaris Rally car and homologation rules dictated that there needs to be a production car version of it (as limited run as necessary)

This particular generation of Yaris is a typical 5 door econobox, while the GR Yaris is a bespoke 2 door with i believe a bespoke 268hp turbo 3 banger motor and a fancy 4WD system

North America doesnt get this car (Yaris was discontinued here) :cry: but it seems like a larger GR Corolla will fill in for it, incorporating the same hardware as the GR Yaris (with maybe a power bump to 300hp)
