Official 6x00 Stock Thread(or lack thereof)

They will rise again.

Some concerning numbers, highlighting the reliance of the US chipmaking industry on Russia/Ukraine-based materials, are shared by the source. For example, market research group Techcet says that 90% of US semiconductor-grade neon supplies come from Ukraine, while 35% of US palladium is sourced from Russia. In addition, other vital materials like C4F6, Helium, and Scandium also come from the potential flashpoint region.

can't we get someone to just shoot Putin :bleh:

.........
we need to go back to mining as much of this stuff here as we can

Just send a "nuclear inspection group" comprised of grade A assassins and hitmen....to "inspect" the nuclear facilities for comformance to international safety standards...

Just ordered a Sapphire Pulse RX 6800 for 1200$ / 1050 euro.
I will receive it in 7-10 days on special order.I saw the Vega 56 is selling in EU for 550 euro or more. That's more expensive than last month.I prefered to buy now then to see pricing rising because of war now.

Prices should go lower now that all silicon by major companies arent being sold or sent to the russian block. Leaving more inventory for us.

Prices will likely increase, even if Taiwan doesn't actually use Neon or other materials from Ukraine. Other more minor chips used on the cards made in other places might. So it can still be a problem.

Bit surprised at your choice given how you've eulogized about Ray tracing support and well the 6800 doesn't do too well. Also the price you've paid, in the UK the MRSP is supposed to be £599 so you're paying a 75% premium. Wow. Still at least you bought something and I get you're going to sell your Vega 56 to lower the cost.

Congrats on the purchase.

The 3080 consumes 320 watts and 6800 consumes 250watts.I am still in the same Vega56 power envelope. The electricity prices increased 4-5 times in my country.
Also another aspect is i looked deeper around and i am dissapointed overall with RTX implementation in current games. It's a mixed bag. Some reflections with very big FPS drop even on 3080 it's not worth the more money and higher power consumption and lower vram capacity.Overall i decided to let RTX go for now.
The paying premium will be offset by the selling of the vega56 at more 400 euros.

Later Update:
This will be ironic...
DLSS code leaking
https://wccftech.com/nvidia-dlss-source-code-might-have-been-leaked-in-the-cyberattack/

If the above is true and AMD will actually learn something from this then the rtx experience will improve

The card arrived today. The unboxing gave me a feeling of scarcity. There was the card and two papers.Nothing else.I never felt this scarcity when unpacking a new gpu for some time.At this price point ... meh
The cooling is huge enough and silent in games.I cannot hear it over the case fans.
I am installing Metro Exodus Enchanced Edition and see how it goes ...

Got a 6700 XT from amd.com today. $510 including tax and shipping.

Man i was hoping to get lucky when i was searching for an RDNA2 card and catch one of them in stock but sadly that never happened.

Because the prices on the AMD shop are far more...normal.

You got lucky!

A friend and former rage gai also scored a 6700xt in todays pokins.

I had an hour as usual but stuck with it and actually got down to 15 minutes left before they sold out. Was the longest queue I've been in that sustained stock :yep:

I got my rx 6800 at msrp (for EU) for an AIB model at around 640 euro after offseting the Vega56 sale.
Many from EU can't buy from AMD.com
