100-150 bucks is more up my alley. Wondering if it is worth going from one brown to another brown. Just doesn’t make sense to me but I am just too stupid and will probably end up spending money and creating remorse threads. :bleh:

Technically the Corsair K70 was hailed as the best brown switch board when I got it a couple of years back. I don’t think that assessment has changed much.

You get what you pay for :bleh:

I tend not to cheap out on touch points.

You should still get one of the mechanical key testers so you can see what keys you like so you arent blindly just buying random switches. You can get cherry only, kaihl, or gateron only based on what choices you have from whatever vendor.

Something like this one(https://www.amazon.com/Max-Keyboard...words=key+switch+tester&qid=1629730798&sr=8-4) but obviously not that one cause its a hundred bucks)

I went with Blue (clicky) since it brings up good memories learning to type on manual typewriters and DEC keyboards.

That said, it would disappear if I brought it into an office as it is a tad bit loud compared to most modern plastic film keyboards (ick).

I would have gone green if I could have found one in my price range (i.e. super cheap) with White (cherry-esk) being my current office keyboard (only 2 desks in the office - I get a keyboard they can tap their pens on the desk).

I actually like the stiffness of the white over the blue for typing large amount of text (was unsure if it would cause strain), while the blue is a good tradeoff for typing and button smashing games.

i really like the corsair, never had problems cleaning it and never had a key getting stuck or pop off.....jesus christ, what are you doing to your poor keyboard, KAC?

So I discussed with my kid as he plays COD CW all the time.
We discussed the pros and cons and he said he prefers K68 to K70 and doesn’t want me to return the board.

So after 2 sentences we decided to keep the board. This thread was a complete waste of time. :bleh:
