Looking to replace 6970 for around 100-150..suggestions?

Maliki2 I'd be running my trusty X6 1090T (I think I had it overclocked to 3.8ghz? with a Noctua NH-D14) right now except the motherboard went flakey on me. That's a very good CPU! Any chance you can overclock it and put on a cheap aftermarket heatsink?

As for the videocard, I'd think a Radeon 470 would be a decent choice. Don't lowball your purchase too much, as soon enough you'll upgrade the cpu, and then the tables will be turned!
 
I would recommend an NVidia card with both the a phenom or fx cpu's...It's much better susited to compensate for AMD cpu's..

I probably could overclock it. Just haven't done it yet. Things been chugging along nicely. But I'm at that point where I'm going to have to upgrade the whole system or just the graphics card to prolong its life. It plays pretty much everything I need right now without much of a hitch.
