I wrote my own forum!

You may remember me writing a while back about my having a forum. Well, this time, it's something a little different: I coded/wrote this forum myself, from scratch! You may not believe this when you see it, but I've only been working on it since Oct. 6. It also integrates with the rest of my website.

Anyway, if anyone wants to take a look, click on this link.

It's not done yet, but having only worked on it less than a month, I think it looks pretty good. Tell me what you think.

side note

side note

Just as a side note, you should add a ">", "<", ">>", "<<" type arrows when threads have more than a page worth of replies, etc. Right now, I only see the page numbers listed but no arrows for like next page, previous page, etc.

The arrows appear only when the number of pages spills over the nav bar limit. Example: the limit is 4 on each side of the current page. Therefore, if you had 9 pages, it would look like this:

1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9

However, if it spilled over to, say, 11, it would look something like this (if on page 6):

<< < 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 > >>

I think he meen's this.

That really is pretty nice Andrew.. if you ever decide to open up the source and distribute it let me know - I have always wanted to setup a little forum and this could be an ideal tool.

vBulletin is very nice but I can't really afford to buy it !

that looks pretty nice :)

as I think people have mentioned already, if you want to distribute the source... :D

I want to try and get YABB going... I tried (but failed due to crappy server *looks at Chicane-UK - Get the new one sorted!!) :D
