GTA VI

GTA6 isn't being worked on. From last October:

In an extensive interview with GQ, the Rockstar co-founder discussed how his flagship franchise's tone doesn't quite mesh with the current cultural climate:

"It’s really unclear what we would even do with [GTA 6], let alone how upset people would get with whatever we did. Both intense liberal progression and intense conservatism are both very militant, and very angry. It is scary but it’s also strange, and yet both of them seem occasionally to veer towards the absurd.

"It’s hard to satirise for those reasons. Some of the stuff you see is straightforwardly beyond satire. It would be out of date within two minutes, everything is changing so fast."

Sad

6 as already been confirmed. They literally paid sony already to make sure it was ready to come out on playstation. Who the hell would do that if the game hadnt even started production yet?

Isn't that kind of how they made a name for themselves in the beginning, pissing people off and getting a ton of publicity?

They shouldn't be concerned with who is getting upset they should be more concerned with how many people they can get upset...

A Narcos-inspired GTA:Americas sounds awesome. But when one leak says "It's South America, bruh!" and another says "It's Liberty City, yo!", credibility for either seems very distant.

The Red Dead Redemption 2 banner on the front of the Rockstar North offices has been removed so now everyone is pushing the "GTA 6 is coming" hype train again

:bleh:

Has GTA Online run dry already? Because that's when we'll see a sixth installment.

It's pretty much known there hasn't been any DLC's for GTA V simply because of GTA Online already making them so much dough.

I fear the model of GTA1/2/3/VC/SA/4 is well and truly gone, I think GTA5 Online has proven sufficiently popular and profitable that that's the way forward for next GTA games as well. I wish it weren't so - I love going through a single player campaign in a world that's built just for me - but I'll probably just adapt to whatever Rockstar's building.

I played very little of GTA5 Online. I found my first moments with it confusing, busy, a step back from the tailored experience GTA usually is. And its single player missions felt like tacked-on DLC rather than a proper game to play.

Should I go back to the game now that it's been worked on for so many years?

The single player missions in GTA V were outstanding, and there's nothing at all to suggest that GTAVI will have a sub-par single player experience. Just look at Red Dead Redemption 2. There are no signs of them slowing down whatsoever on the single player stuff.

I wouldn't give it a moments thought.

I never wanted or cared about MP in Rockstar's games. I haven't noticed any dip in quality of the single player games since they started introducing multiplayer.
