Delorean EV teased.

Might need more than 1.21 gigawatts of energy to move this thing.
However it should reach 88mph EASY.

Anyone can make cars now. Canada has what 3 ev car companies? Dont be surprised to see any number of iconic brands resurrected.

Gosh another throwback car that doesnt really look like a throwback and looks like every other electric car out there.....

stretching it into a 4 seater makes the big single gullwing door look...weird
Oh and the interior looks lifted out a Mercedes E class lol.

I mean, it's a good looking car. But for better or worse... I can barely see how this looks like it's namesake.

And to be fair, the original Delorean isn't really a pretty car. It's kinda ugly, so I get it. Buuuut this car is so far off, that I'm pretty sure I wouldn't make the connection unless I saw the name on the front.

I see the elements that connect them. The Rear window, the tail lights, the iconic doors, the wheels, the rear quarter window etc etc. But those are very minor call backs and I wanted to see more. Maybe when they make a 2 seater, they can bring more of that iconic look back.

Thats a bit of a reach to call them connecting elements. Aside from the gullwing doors which is pretty obvious and a modernized take on the front and rear fascias which for better or worse have morphed into something quite generic looking (since all the EV's seem to follow the exact same design), theres really nothing that looks like its a throwback to the original.

Sure the old car wasnt really "pretty" but it was pretty distinctive. This does not look it.

This thing also looks like a stretched Nissan Z to me....

All these cars that are supposed to be throwbacks end up not looking like a throwback and it just ruins the charm its supposed to have.

the VW ID.Buzz looks like a regular van, and this looks like a regular stretched coupe.

The Honda e looks like an old school Civic, which is exactly the appeal i want out of something that is a throwback.

I thought it was ok. I really hope the name actually lights up.
