They’re talking a possible 2x MSRP markup. madness.
I am curious how the shops will deal with stocks at this kind of prices.

Yeah probably what acroig said. There has to be a tipping point somewhere when people just refuse to buy at a certain price. I don’t know where that is though. People can be a little crazy if they want something bad enough.
Just bought a Series X, had enough of this cant compete in the master race its too expensive!
My new console and Gamepass will do me for now.
It's way easier to buy an overpriced gpu though.

But its WAY cheaper to buy a console.......
Well it seems that we are not still at the tipping point.GPU's are still flying out of shelfs.
The irony is the cheapest way to actually enjoy latest AAA games is the 1080p monitor in my case.Far Cry 6 will be playable at 60fps at that resolution ... For the rest of non-AAA games i can play them in 1440p.
badsykes I had Fury, Vega 64 and 5700XT and enjoyed every game I played even though I played at medium/ high settings at 1440p. I never once looked at the number of frames per second I got I was too busy enjoying the game. You can easily game with your card at +60fps by lowering some settings.
Enjoy what you've got it's not that difficult really.
Not if you can't afford it.![]()
I will test the waters.
Look at this: 1080p vs 1440p ...

When you go down to 1080p from 1440p is 60 fps. 1440p goes to unplayable...
5700xt is the first card that do 60fps in 1440p
Anyway i have plenty of indies that don't require a new gpu ... They are so much fresh air...
badsykes those graphs are at max settings. You have to accept, as I did, your card can't do max settings so lower the settings to get the FPS you like. It really isn't rocket science TBH. There are lots of guides out there showing you the best settings for most graphics cards in AAA games. Google it, apply them and enjoy.

I know it's bad when my gaming laptop + ps5 cost less than what some people are paying for a video card alone.
Those pre-builts a couple of the members here got are the way to go for a desktop these days, if you're price conscious like me...that is.
I think its nuts so many people feel desperate enough to bite the bullet and just pay current GPU prices. I can understand if its required for work, or you're a miner and you know you can still make profit over time. But for gaming? Bah, its just not a necessity so why are you paying 100% over MSRP?
They need to rethink their decisions IMO. If I hadn't gotten my GPU when I did and waited until after the prices spiked I simply would have just lowered settings and still used my old 980 Ti.
